New players joined, with increased scamming they leave before buying AUR. That worst case example does not help Dust in the long run. New sign ups don't pay for servers, AUR not being brought, you do the math.

I have a prime example, Google: Hero Online, it is a PC game that had a large user base but after scammers grew in the numbers, more people left. That game now has very little playing it. That is just one example.

There have been Squad lobbies set up with the titles: "Free ISK " "Selling PSN Cards" "ISK Doubling" etc. I and others have set up Squad lobbies with the titles: "Warning Free ISK is a scam" but people are still falling for it. I am not one of them and i would never hand over ISK or exploit the game in that way, hard earned ISK is what is important (in my opinion).

Please CCP act on this before it gets worse and more players are turned away from this great game.

Some of you might find it funny, some might be "ok" with people getting scammed but think for a second. If new players get scammed and quit the game = less new players, less new players means = less spending of AUR and the game will not keep going without a new flux of new players.

Not only that but we as a gaming community have a duty to look out for new players so they can enjoy the fun with us and not be scammed. They are only humans and humans make mistakes but if we let them get scammed and could help them and don't...we are no better than the scammers.

So to new players, don't hand over your ISK to anyone, you do and you are risking your hard earned ISK for nothing.

Scamming is wrong and so is the act of exploiting this game. Both need to be addressed before it gets out of control.

What is it that you expect CCP to do, take away the "Give Money" option? Those players are the ones going into squads believing that they could get "free ISK" or "double" their ISK amounts (which would be cheating the game if that actually worked)

If they want to be morons than let them. The idea that they can get their ISK multiplied by some exploit/hack or whatever, is something people should immediately realize is against the rules, cheating the game, doing something that should get you banned from the game.
And I think it's amusing that this is what you believe will turn new players away; Not the being proto-stomped by queue syncers (which, there aren't much less of than before 1.9) getting rolled over by jihad jeeps, tanks, dropships, and not knowing what fits to run or what to do to get kills or make any progress. You'll even see people using aurum to proto-stomp in Academy, that's what's chasing people away from the game, not scammers.

That is not proof, that is absense of proof. Proof would be them coming out and saying "oh hey you can scam it's a part of the game" but unless you quote the source with a link i don't see any forum post or website information stating this.

Very well, i stand corrected, i guess they are trying to cover their backs by not having to deal with returning in game money and all the agro.

However, i still believe that it should not be accepted as "the normal" as it just validates scamming and i would rather not give validation to something as low as robbing people through their stupidity.
