Just purely speculating here, but if i understand the points you made in your past videos that A) Dust has been written off as a R&D project and B) CCP is being sold, so the company is boosting stats about its assests until it can it can find a suitible buyer.
The frustrating part is that CCP has done nothing to attract enough players to dust so they wouldn't have to stat boost. CCP also cut its own financial success when they stopped selling BPOs for over a year and merely relied upon booster sales. And the way the Rouge wedding played out really crippled dust. A lot of people quit playing and/or stopped buying aurum, and quite a few cancelled there eve accounts as well.
They really cut off thier nose to spite their own face and the hotfixes and 1.9 has been that nose badly sticthed back on to show that they could make at least some profit doint things that PLAYERS have been telling them to do for as long as Dust has been around.
Respec for Aurum Release the old BPOs Bring back the Package deals Rework matchmaking Look after new players
As much as i would like to give the devs credit on coming around to this lately, I cannot. Why give them credit for finnaly doing what is common sense to players who are not running a gaming company. We had to beg for a year for CCP to take our money. Now that they finally are doing exactly what we told them to do to make money they are making sure that it will not be worth it. No dust514 or Legion announcements at fanfest is B.S.
Dust is in steady decline as more and more vets become disillusioned about the future plans of dust and legion and there are fewer and fewer newberries to replace them. Fanfest could have been an occasion to right the ship, get her steady and at least prevent more people from leaving.
- f .u-fanfest 2014, - throw-some-bones-at-you hotfixes - oh-yeah-pay-me 1.9
all of which i could have forgiven untill
-who-cares-about-you fanfest 2015
Sorry if its doom and gloom Bamm, but thats all CCP have given me to work with. Fanfest needed a to be the glimmer of sunshine to tide us over, and we are not even getting that.
Redline for Thee, but no Redline for Me.
