Have you encountered the terror that is the officer plasma cannon?
I utterly crushed a tank offensive alone with just my commando and officer placon today. I hammered tank after tank into flaming wrecks. Sicas, two shotted, Gunnlogis, annihilated in a mere two clips and 5 seconds or so. Somas smashed, and the solitary Madrugar driven off with its metaphorical tail between its legs.
I earned a solo orbital.

Yes I have. Fortunately I was quick to identify the guy after his missed with one of his first shots. The follow up was far too quick for a Prototype cannon. I just hit a full reverse, pulled in behind cover as another two rounds flew over.
I was going to try to hunt down that guy buy I'm full aware that an officer Cannon with Specialisation Skill bonuses completely negate Shield Hardeners which my fit was relying on.
I did manage to catch the dude later out on open ground but I don't know if he was Officer Cannon equipped.
But Arkena lets be honest.
If armour tanking was viable outside of smash and grab Ion Cannon fits and had the same powerful active modules shield tanking did I would be doing it.
Moreover just give me my Marauders back or an Officer HAV....... and you AV means nothing to me.

How so you SR users deal with the armor tanking meta we have now?
My primary is CR and NK so I'm used to a strong finisher.
SCR is a great weapon overall. Pretty much my fav gun!
IN MY CASE:
I aim to the head and get LOTS of headshots. I, depending on the situation, use Damage mods too!
But what to do when facing an ARMOR TANKER!? another AMARR suit with 700+ armor? or a Gallente? Or a sentinel!?
Well, at Longer ranges neither of them actually worry me, im confident i will win....Most of the times just with my SCR rifle.
But in close quarters i use....
Flaylock Pistol.
(the secret to this weapon is to aim for the KNEES. If you hit, good! direct hits hurt. if you miss, you'll still get splash damage XD)
And if its an Open map and i STILL need a Ranged anti-armor weapon i use:
Bolt Pistol
The secret to Both MAss drivers and SCR rifles is the sidearm...
The best Damage mod is a HEADSHOT....
