Rail rifle is a perfectly legitimate weapon, especially on a suit that can hold open the range (being innately fast) and can detect things close up (passives) and far away for targeting (active scanner.) I can't remember off the top of my head, but the Sentinel has a minimum of 55db base profile. With dampening five, this drops to 49.5db: still detected by a STD AS. Now, if they fit a module they'll dodge (assuming base 55, though aren't they 60 base?) but that's not unreasonable: they have a maxed skill and a module. As far as uselessness is concerned, it's picking up undampened Assaults, Logistics, Commandos and Sentinels from up to 100m away: even with range amplification five, your passive range is around 50m, unless you also have Caldari Scout five. Base 20 * 1.5 (Range Amp 5) * 1.5 (CalScout 5) * 1.25 (1st RA) * 1.21725 (2nd RA at 86.9% efficacy) = 68.47m passive. So the AS is not useless.And that's without mentioning squad/team sharing as well as maintaining the scan while you move away. Alt of Halla Murr. Sentinel.

But i actually read it i'm bored and masochistic. This speaks to the failure of the RR itself...the weapon is **. That really just depends on how it's used. If you're using your scout to pick up enemies at long ranges and mow them down with the RR (protest till it gets buffed) then it'd be working fine. Sure you're more squishy, but first shot advantage and that long range should help. Not opposed to giving it the assault rifle. but I still feel a non neutered RR would be awesome. Welcome to all active scanners aside from the focused and flux. Glad you could be here with us in our day of mourning and suffering.
