Done.
But, no, from FW I found out I am useless, no matter my role, because I don't buy AURUM suits, don't buy Veteran status, and just cannot decide on a role. No role "works" for me. Curse of games like these :(
GG. Think I'm just about done..no, it's impossible to play by its rules, when its rules has nothing in common with me.. Couple things...
FW is "mid-game content" in Dust 514. As such, you should be squadding up with the best fittings you can afford to run. Try to solo in FW and you will have a hard time. What FW were you trying to do? Every faction has channels to find squads in. Locate that channel, join it.
You were probably useless because you were alone. Lone mercs are basically wasted clones; easy pickings for cloaked up scouts and HMG sentinels.
Spending aurum had little to nothing to do with you losing. Your gun game may be poor or you were running a shitfit. What kind of fitting did you use?
Finally, NK range is 2.5m

Chris Adrell wrote:And buying and spending AUR gives SP..which is 100% required..so yes, it mattered. Maybe not the most. Playing in matches also earns you SP. So does logging in daily. Boosters are not required. They might get you into a certain piece of gear a week faster, but you could just as easily play another match a day and not spend a dime.
Chris Adrell wrote:and join someone? No mic and it wil REMAIN THAT WAY. I should not have to spend money, period, on a "F2p" game. I'd sooner move on to another game worth time, than spend money on a mic. If you require microphones, forget it. I won't have one.
And none of this, "oh how do you expect to communicate with people"? screw it. SCREW IT..if it requires payment in any way shape or form to expect a baseline quality of play, it's not f2p..it's just not. comms devices are no exception. Then don't buy a mic... when I say you had to buy a mic? I just said get into a squad. Pay attention and you might learn something.
Get in a squad, just listen to people who are on comms and your chances of survival increase sharply in FW. Even without comms you can see your squadmates' passive scans and you get bonus WP's for working towards the squad leader's orders.

Chris Adrell wrote:I wanted to get my feet wet. I wasn't being serious about that FW match. I queued for all four factions, and the team I got was pretty poor, all around. I was about middle in terms of WP..and our highest was 2k SP with 1 kill. Probably either booster(not enough proof to report, as I never saw another teammate except ONCE), or logi..which, to his credit, there were multiple spawn points.
If this is "mid game", been there done that. Publics were both harder and easier. This? Literal waste of time. Oh well. You had one bad match in FW and you got discouraged? You are deeming FW a waste of time because you, an admittedly solo player who is unwilling to cooperate with a squad or join a FW channel, lost a SINGLE match?
I can't type through the laughter. My sides.
