Yes, we should have the ability to edit suit with other STD level stuff if we want. true but CCP does not have the ability yet to limit editing on some suit. that is why they can not do a match making with limits like basic/militia gear only battles, adv gear or less battles, and all gear battles. yes that means tanks mods too and the ads would be proto battles only. besides if your new top dust you would buy the APEX while vets see its and most will grind for LP suits. I have seem the new tiger scout already and saw the LP gal scout the first day they were out. so the suits work as they are mean to. help new players by have a proto bpo suit while not give they an huge advantage and vets have a bpo proto suit with the bonuses (sp skills) helping the suit even more. it is a fair and balanced suits. if you don't like them and wanted a refund try putting in a ticket to see if ccp can do it. I haven't bought gal scout, the fitting it had was perfect for me, now it's completely another thing, i don't care about ion pistol or smg, i'm talking about modules and equipments. They can restrict each slot to a certain meta level and problem is solved.
No kidding. I would not have purchased the Gal Scout in its current form either.

Ok, so here's the thing - I made a purchase because I was satisfied with the product offered. Somebody else thinks they'd like a different variation on the theme and negotiates a different deal. Good for them, but why am I now forced to keep their deal? Changes made post-purchase are underhanded tactics that should be avoided in all cases to maintain trust with the community. I understand that the game belongs to CCP and they can do whatever they like with it, the issue here is trust.
Here's hoping they at least allow a trade into a different suit... |

Here's hoping they at least allow a trade into a different suit... Could you be more specific as to which change(s) you feel was unwarranted? I am looking at the spreadsheet, and I don't see any drastic changes. A few tweaks based on community feedback. I am stoked for the Min Commando changes, but now that the Shaman Logi has been made a tad less squishy, I'm torn. I told myself I would only get one, but now I want the Commando and the Logi. Ah well, back to grinding LP!
Moved HP from shield to armor at the sacrifice of profile and a basic 3% light DMG mod Changed SMG to Ion Pistol (I hate that gun) Changed RE to Uplink Combined with coming EWAR and EQ changes, this is a deal breaker for me.
I'm usually not in a light/Scout suit. I've run Amarr scout on occasion but that's it. I looked over the spreadsheet (until it was hidden), debated over the variants, and decided on which one I'd like to pursue. The gal seemed decent. I got it right away, probably should have waited because it wasn't until after my purchase that I saw the feedback thread was started. Given its current state I'm sure it works for someone, just not at all what I would have bought. |

Waaah they took away the three damps that made me unscannable to all but proto amarr scouts and proto scanners on l5 gallogi's! Waaaah they took away my free remote explosives! Waaaaaah my proto bpo suit isn't a highly advantageous combination of everything toxic within the current dust meta! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Your suit has drawbacks now where it previously didn't, this is intended.
Lol, cute
The point remains, the principle of the matter remains. You wouldn't want the car dealership to change the options on your car after you took it home already. Wake up one morning to find the heated seats are now cooling seats instead. If that was what you wanted you would have chose that option initially. You'd want a fair deal and keep your purchase, or at least the option of trading for something you actually want. |

A recall requires you to go in. You get notified of the change and can choose to opt out.
