Welp its going on a week in my Apex 'Shaman" fit, and I must say it has grown on me. As a logi, an expensive suit makes for better equipment but that does not make the logi. The suit requires me to think outside of my conventional routine of high price gear and get right down to the basics... literally lol. Saves you a lot in isk profit (I can profit 4+ proto fits a match), K/D can suffer pending on your team and fight style. All in all, I think its a great fit for a vet like myself to enjoy the game on a crafty level, also I feel it could help out that Newcommer trying to stay atop the harsh battlefields of Dust.

Once again, these are just my observations and opinions of the APEX 'Shaman' Logistics fit (The black and gold theme isn't to shabby either
  .
I wonder how the rest of you guys feel about the new drop suit series?
Please share your thoughts and opinions of the same suit or any of the other fits! Could help somebody out there :)

I think Wizards of the Coast might have rights to that name though.

At the beginning I was thinking they were all great, but now that I analyzed them a bit deeper, they're clearly not worth it, even if I'll still get some because I like to get rare stuff.
They're useful only for the new players that have low core skills, because once you have high PG/CPU available, you'll get better fits with a standard suit. If I take the Min scout for example, I get something equal or better everywhere, except that I have 15 less HP and 0.4 less speed which really doesn't make any difference. However I have a profile 5dB lower and adv knives and that makes a huge difference. Cost of my STD suit : 20K so I have to die 500 times just to get my ISK back (which isn't exactly right as my std fit is better), and I still wasted 100k LP...

For people that have no skills in scouts, APEX suits are great because without the cloak CPU/PG reduction it's impossible to fit one on a scout, other than that all the other suits aren't worth it.

For a free in game bpo, its alright. Then i think about 10M isk and 100klp. At 155 LP per proto suit I can get 645 suits and have a choice between assault or scout. Think about it for a min? If you are always broke in game, maybe that suits for you, but I'd rather have 645 Proto assaults. Now the aur bought suits might help the newcomer grow their in game wallet, but you take away the character customization and that is a unique feature Dust has over other games. I think people are blinded by a shiny new toy without pausing for a min and realizing its over priced for performance. Then again for $20 its not that bad to get an initial performance boost especially if you enjoy the game, but no way am I gonna grind for the LP version. That thing is more like a trophy far all the vets that spend way too much time in FW

the apex shaman is pathetic.. low ehp and basic equipment.. granted its 4 equipment vs 3 at standard level logi suit but still for like 20-25k i can rock a fairly tanky standard suit with advanced equipment so i can have better reps and 2 active uplinks..

id probably only get it for isk farming in spambush... and for the irony of "we are more swag420MLG then you amarr!" in all that golden glory and the winmatar icon on the side of the helmet

I'm unimpressed with the offerings. I think I'll save my LP for dropsuits that really are useful. And like hell I'm dropping any money on them, either.

Yes they are for new players but some are viable for veterans. Remember this is a completely free fit with a standard weapon. The current standard weapon BPO's consist of a AR, ScR, ScP, SG, SMG, and Swarm Launcher. That doesn't cover nearly all the weapons and they come in some pretty expensive packs.

I would say the majority of the suits are worth getting. A BPO RE? BPO Scanner? BPO HMG? Yeah...sign me up.

The Apex 'Shaman"would be a tremendous upgrade for my pub fit, but $20 or all that lp grind is not worth it. Since scout 514 I started bleeding isk as a logi so I whipped up a skinweave mini 2 eq slot (fit with basic eq) logi suit with militia bpo modules and my bpo exile ar. Very squishy but I don't rage if I die alot.
