The Eristic wrote:Man, I'm gonna have to send in tickets for my Caldari and Minmatar guys. 4 of my 6 characters have Gallente quarters, only seen Cal/Min in pictures. The Caldari and the Amarr are the best IMO Caldari is orderly, neat, spacious Amarr is beautiful, shiny, poorly lit, and has GOLD! Gallente Small, horrible layout, looks like the designers said 'f*ck it" Minmatar, Rusty version of Gallente, but with an excuse to be that way.

Aero Yassavi wrote:I must agree with True. Changing your race makes no sense and is a bad sign for an IP (the New Eden IP) which had been really big on making sure everything makes sense in lore.
A better solution would be to give the people what they really want. Allow us to freely change our stations. Allow us to choose from at least 12 portraits (one of each racial frame size) and have it displayed on login, in game, and in the forums. But no changing race and bloodline. I agree

THE GREY CARDINAL wrote:True Adamance wrote:I don't understand why people care so much about this. It does not affect gameplay and only denotes the primary bloodline with which your character is associated and by extension the empire with which the bloodline is traditionally associated.
This does not affect ones sense of loyalty nor impose any restrictions of any sort on any player. If players care so much about this for the purposes of the RP/IP why do they not write this into their character biographies.
E.G-
True Adamance is True Amarr Bloodline of the Amarr Empire Faction. This only denotes the fact that this true ethnicity, or the ethnicity he associates himself with, the Udorians, is not selectable and is more or less bred into the True Amarr Bloodline.
Galm Fae, his ethnicity is Civre, however his character is a halfbreed Civre-Intaki though this is not denoted anywhere on his character bio.
Hell any player with a Gallentean Bloodline and avatar could suggest that they are immigrants to the X Empire of Y Factions but have not received citizenship yet, etc, etc, etc.
There is not call or reason for bloodline or race reallocations because of player negligence. Look, you're into your phallus worshiping altar boys and you have a nice avy to reflect that...however there are others out there who are equally as zealous for their race of choice but only came to realise which race that was months or years after character creation. The ability for such people to have that race as their official one is something that doesn't effect you in the slightest. This "role play your way around it" is BS and no amount of fanciful imaginations changed the fact that I have an ugly as caldari av in the forums and on my start screen. I've wanted to change my race for years and fully support the idea. Why does it matter? Why? I fully support True here (never thought I'd say that) You should not be able to change your race, why? Lore, it also distracts devs from the larger more important tasks. The lore has been a factor in everything if I'm told correctly and adding this would be like saying "F*ck the lore" why? because you want to change your race? I wanted to change my race a while ago and I did, I'm now Caldari with a new name. Just create a new character! The RP your way around it idea is great considering that should be the only reason you'd want to change race. I was a Gallente when I first started working for the Caldari, I was forced to start over losing around 4 billion ISK, 105m Sp and 250k LP and I was happy! I was happy I got to be the race I wanted to be without screaming for a lore defying option...
Also I take great offense to the Ugly Caldari part... You think 4-eyed freaks are better? Just make a new character with a similar name to the original. CCP, unless you add this into the lore I doubt it will be a good option to add in, maybe a change Avatar/MQ freely option? Just don't allow these fools to change their race!

100,000 LP and 10 Million isk for Race Remap or 29.95 in Aur :)
Still trying to figure out why the new proto suits are Visual Customization Just saying, IMHO, that's beyond my price point. I thought the 10,000 Aurum range for the race change ( I am a clone - this should be easy) and another 10k to move my local station would be reasonable and something I would do 2-3 times per year. I might RESPEC (again) within 6-9 months. I will probably purchase an Aztec suit in wave 2 or 3 if I sense fun and value and I will definetly purchase something like those officer variant suits. Now stick that in your big data pipe & smoke it! Maybe a sex change option? I remember reading that early female adopters of clone tech had male bodies due to it not being compatible with female bodies. You must also remember clones are what we are due to a 5th (or was it 6th?) lobe that allows us to go from one body to another...

Can someone at least write some lore for this? I mean changing sex? fine the early female adopters were stuck with male bodies I believe. Changing race... well perhaps skin or suit, but I see no way to change bloodline.
