So I've done Minmatar FW on and off over the past year or so mainly because corp members and friends had wanted to do it. Until recently it had been a long time since I even touched any FW.
Obviously I have been playing again recently and it has made me realise that FW is at times a complete waste of time.
I might as well AFK through matches as if we dont win then my efforts mean nothing other than extra lost isk.
I propose the following:
Keep the higher LP pay outs for the winning faction however directly tie WP to extra LP and crucially - extra standings gains at the end of a battle regardless of if you win or lose.
Otherwise I am just going to AFK as my efforts are meaningless.

Mate I always usually try no matter the odds however when there is litterally 0 point to trying I am going to save myself the hassle. (Read when put against 8+ Nyain san or who ever....I didn't want this to be about hard matches because I totally accept that)
That being said, I would love to know what you plan to do to a free suit in an MCC.
All I am asking for is that people who DO try are at least rewarded. I bleed for my faction and dont even get a small standings increase? Yea I'm not down with that.

Why do you need a participation medal? Are you a 6 year old playing in a sports league? You failed, why should you get paid for not being as good as the people who beat you? Don't like it, continue to be a pubscrub.
Then why bother trying in FW? I might as well AFK as I receive the same rewards. Getting on your high horse about this wont help. I am merely pointing out that if you want people to actually do something, they need an incentive EVEN IF they are going to lose.
Hell some FW matches there are 3-4 people AFK. Well there will be one more joining them.
