That's a glitch and is getting fixed. When working properly, you will not be able to modify APEX suits in any way. I am assuming it is being fixed, but do you have proof? I have not seen that issue addressed yet ? Maybe a CPM buddy over there might have some good word? What about our SP from the side arm event? How about some intel Pokey? The bug is being actively worked on, the Apex suits are NOT intended to be customizable and thus their current state is not working as indented.

 Cheers,

Prinny Waters wrote:They use basic modules but have the same number of slots as a proto suit. Their main advantage is you get the full suit bonus and base health of a specialized (not basic) suit. New players will eventually unlock enough advanced modules that they outgrow their proto BPO suits but this gives them a pretty solid edge over anyone still running Militia suits without advanced or complex modules.
The primary disadvantage is that most of them have some utility thrown in, meaning they don't maximize health and damage potential. As mentioned before, the modules are all basic so any non-militia suit tailored to your personal style will always be stronger, assuming the dropsuit ain't militia.

Additionally, some suits like the Amarr Assault currently have been fitted with a range module in preparation of an upcoming balance change. Until said change comes this slot is pretty much wasted, although they should matter after the change hits.
 ^This pretty much covers it

Cheers, Cross Yeah people are tabbing all over the place, never seen so many indentations in my life.
