TEBOW BAGGINS GREATNESS ACHIEVED THRU TROLLING 1321	Posted - 2014.11.08 00:20:00 - [33] - Quote in 2010 i read the description of minmatar and my decision was made before i read the others. turned out it fit my playstyle perfectly before doing any research into EVE.. it was small gang warfare with hit and run tactics. it was everything i wanted before i even knew they dominated in speed, which i also wanted "the fastest ship in the galaxy"/perfect for ninja salvaging.. it was a golden age of petty griefing.. you simply had to ninja salvage other ppl's missions to recieve butt loads of hatemail, sadly they introduced a salvaging ship that drove the price of salvage into the ground where no more tears would be found, only indifference when before it was pure hate. I made myself a Caldari at first because it was the first choice and it was what I always saw on the adverts. Most vets all had the portraits, so when I re-made my Character (Ghost Nalaar was the first one I made actually. He was Gallente), I went Caldari. Then I fell in love with the Minmatar. Like full on. So I did a little bit of thinking, and decided that I was a Caldari who got kicked out of the State War Academy for differing ideals (And for duct taping a Contact Nade launcher to my Rail Rifle. Drill instructor was NOT amused.). I was later taken in by a group of travelling Matari and quickly converted. I would like to go Minmatar, but at the same time, I love my own little story I've made. It's a tough choice. But at the end of the day, the banner flies true for the Minmatar, no matter which race I would be. Bullet Hell and Duct-Tape? Count me in! FA recruits get free officer BPO's. Enlist today. Must be a scrub to enter.

Caldari have had to live on an inhospitable homeworld. The roots of the Caldari were from a group of people living in a patriotic meritocracy. Their patriotism and hard work is what allowed them to survive on the homeworld in the first place. And a meritocracy is a government where people in power are selected by their abilities. Even with their corporate dictatorship now they have rulers that want to return the Caldari to its meritocratic government. They had to surrender their homeworld to the Gallente for quite a bit, mind you. And if not for the weapon damage profiles shield tanking may(remember... May) be more viable than armour tanking, with Caldari top shield tankers. From that you can infer that the Caldari have been through more troubles than any other race.(Because mind you living on an inhospitable world where you just barely survive every day is a different and harsher story.) Basically an entire basis of good ideals and strength. So why not choose a race with such character? #FuckYoAmarricaDemocracyAndTribesTheSquidIsWhereItsAt

I think I'd be a Gallente with strong Caldari sympathies. I like the logical structure of Caldari society, but I doubt I could fit in. I have no illusions about the perfection of Gallente society, yet its relaxed attitudes would be easier for a jellyfish like myself to live in. I'm also partial to the Amarr, especially their design elements in Dust and EVE, but I don't care for religions of any kind; I like them more as philosophies or mythologies, not as foundations of governments, policies, and states. As for the Minmatar... I can't think of the words "tribal civilization" and "spacefaring" in the same sentence without laughing. It's a pretty well established rule of human history that tribal customs never, ever lead to the centralization needed for technological advancement.
