elitist vets are back to proto-squad stomping because they can where as people who are newer and dont have PC on farm cant run proto to counter proto.
whats the oppinion of the community (excluding elitist vets ) on elitist vets squad stomping in proto and makeing a game 95% 1 sided and doing nothing but farming kills and causeing nothing but rage anger and frustration for the opposing team.
ps. just happened to be with a group from molon labe, carbon 7 war ravens duna corp... we couldnt cap anything till the last tiny sliver of MCC armor of which i managed to drop an uplink and hack a cru...

You don't need proto to counter proto - you need tactics.

You don't get proto stomped by solo players, you get stomped by squads, and they can turn a profit in pubs as they'll also be running proto needles |

well between 300-700k cause in 1.8 a normal payment for time was like 200k but in 1.9 its as low as 150k and for a logi (note expensive to fit and low ehp) it just dosnt cut it

Plenty of the time when I'm playing with my regular group it's pretty frequent for us to go whole matches without actually losing a suit. If we do lose one it generally wasn't a proto suit.

not eveyone has the luxury of running full BPO suits and even then the BPO suits if they are not scout/assault/logi are worthless and dont even put up a fight

It was a bug which enabled some of us to get paid silly money for doing what we've always done. Its been fixed now. Get over it.
by (tactics) you mean running in a squad with player that have been playing for more then a year.
a proto squad is out for one thing to stomp/farm that's it.
if that was not the case then they would still use proto went they go against a proto squad
but they do not . they leave the match or start running starter fits or cheaper suit.

I got this way, not through some magical fast twitch muscles of a 15 year old. I'm 44.
It took lots of practice, and not making up excuses when faced with a challenge, but rather accepting it and trying to improve. |

Yeah, they did feel pretty good but I don't think it had anything to do with proto
1. players hadn't memorized the new maps so everyone was on an even footing with map knowledge
2. everything felt novel because of the minor tweaks to settings and environment
3. new, beginner, and amateur players were constantly logging in to see 1.9 as well as the vets so there was a larger pool of lower skill players on the battlefield than average.
4. Mu matching works better the more players there are.
5. With such large payouts, who cared if you lost a match or came in on the bottom five on the point board, you were getting anywhere from 300,000 isk to over 7 million.
but there was kind of a "throw care to the wind" attitude that made Dust a lot of fun. Those matches were pretty good.

I play 99% of my matches solo, including FW. Its possible, but you have to be ready for the huge challenge that it is. As far as Molon goes, they dont always run full proto stomps. I run into solo or squads of them using regular gear in FW all the time. It should be called "squad stomping", because its the coordination and close communication of a group that magnifies the power it can project.
As far as the ISK goes, the amount should be upped by about 40%, but not as high as we saw. One of the aspects of warfare is financing your war. This game is tied to a larger MMO. We cant just have unlimited decisions with minimal consequences. We are mercenaries, we fight for ISK.

Why not just get rid of all std and adv then make all suits prefit proto with no way to change the fits, remove isk and make all my 75% smaller then rename the game to "Cod514" I like dust because of the variation. If everyone has the same thing at the best there would be no need for isk or anything to have meaning.

I stomp without squads... Just today I went 43-7 kept the entire enemy away from the objective by myself( rest of my team was far from objective on a ledge... I was pissed) The top 10 on the enemy team had less than 10 kills and a negative kdr, There was one team mate who was at the objective with me, but he died too much and kept leaving to fend off the enemy by myself. I was using basic cal ass with a TAR and Ion pistol. |

the games you play are crap cause your are farming people.
I have just tried to play Dust and stopped after being redlined for the 4th time, same as yesterday - it is too fuuccking boring of a game to play when its like that
you could say i should squad but then we just red line the other way - so whats the point
And yes, I run proto so its got f all to do with paving roads
CCP need to open up a mode without squads. One with team depoly.
And most of all tiercide dropsuits
