I've been playing this game for the past 2 years. I've spent over $600 (SIX HUNDRED) buying packs and aurum on this game. I've accrued over 2.3 million lifetime WP, and you only award me a rank 9, NINE! This is quite frankly an absurd ratio, the amount of aurumn I have purchased and aurumn spent on this game should have warranted me at least a rank 13 if not the full 15.
You seriously need to go back and revise the XP value of aurum purchased and aurum spent. I am seriously disappointed and quite frankly offended that you consider the financial support that I have provided this game to be of so little value in terms of loyalty to the game.
You need to seriously revise the value you place on aurum purchased and aurum spent by a player, and I expect to see that loyalty ranking of mine increase exponentially the next time I log into this game.
I wad seriously considering purchasing AT LEAST another $200 worth of aurum, but seeing as you consider the financial support of your game to be of so little value to you, I think I'll take my money and support another project instead on the likes of KICKSTARTER.COM
And no, you CANT have my ISK!!!

You spent $600 on AUR in hope that on a nice sunny day CCP will implement a Rank system so you will be Rank 13 on patch day out of 15. It's not the unimplemented features like player market, EVE connection, PVE and the poorly optimised, clunky gameplay (now fixed maybe) that makes you angry, but this. Wow

Oh boo hoo, you spent money on a game over the course of a couple years, you deserve to get all the accolades. Notice me, CCP-sempai!
I don't feel you. So you supported the game, that investment has already been spent on such great things as dropsuits, weapons, maps, bug fixes, rebalancing, features, a potential future sequel on the PC. All things you've enjoyed, or may enjoy in the future. Losing out on loyalty rank, which I highly doubt is entirely based on spending habits, seems a pretty petty concern. You want more loyalty rank, run more Faction matches. Quit whining about how you can't buy love. |

I haven't yet heard of anyone over rank 10. My personal guess is that they scaled the system so even veterans would have some work to hit the maximum.
Plus, if you saw Dennie's post about how much he spent on the game, you'd know you aren't the top of the chart. ;)

If it wasn't for the likes of me and other players digging deep to make this game financially viable for CCP, you freeloaders wouldn't even have a game to play, let alone a forum to post on. I've been playing for over 2 years, and I still consider my financial investment to be of more value to me than my time investment into this game. Had this been any other project on KICKSTARTER.COM, I'd have spent so much investing into it that the developers would have awarded me my name in the credits, my own planet/weapon/dropsuit named after me, or at the very least, a tangible collectors item that I can own.
And no, you CANT have my ISK!!!

I've stuck with the game because of my heavy financial investment into the game, and believe that if CCP was to implement a system where those who have supported the game financially would be recognised for their efforts, that this system would be fair and favourable towards them. I DO NOT feel that the system they have implemented is a fair and favourable representation of those who have invested the most into this game, and for that reason, I am genuinely disappointed in CCP and quite frankly offended.

Please tell me you are American so I can rest in the knowledge that it hasn't become contagious yet. So you dropped a few hundred dollars in a game you like, big deal. Just so you know I am level 10 and yes I have purchased aurum but this is not the major factor it is also about wp earned, logging in, fighting and winning battles. The purchase of Aurum is the last thing listed. Maybe you should spend more time playing the game than whining in the forums, if you want to increase your rank.

That's simply penalises players for their preffered playstyle. This simply means that a player who runs a support role as a logo and farms WP, or players who gain more WP by Pubstomping are considered to be more loyal players simply because their playstyle is affords them more WP. I do neither of those things, I run an assault and use BPOs to provide Newer or weaker players with an even ground on which to fight me, I could run PROTO LOGI 24/7 indefinitely if I wanted to, but I choose not to because that would be a **** move.
The fact that the loyalty system simply reflects favourably on WP farmers and Proto Stompers simply shows yet again how CCP cannot introduce a system into the game without out it being biased towards 70% of the playerbase, and simply favours the ISK Rich, Proto everything, WP farmers that plague this game and community.

As I played an Alt almost exclusively for 12 months, and split my AUR purchases between my two accounts, I am not expecting a rank equivalent to my actual contribution to the game, so I will not be disappointed.

We do sort of need to have a high ceiling so we can actually have a goal, a mechanic that when released is already maxed out is horrible game design.

Don't matter much. I do like the bonuses though. I have spent no more then $150 dollars for aurum boosters. Heck the only BPO i ever bought was the toxin as part of a merc pack bundle. I never bothered with the recent BPO's as fabulous as they are....although i will be diving out some cash for Jara the market agent...could use a female touch in my quarters...I mean market value for my stuff.

You seriously need to go back and revise the XP value of aurum purchased and aurum spent. I am seriously disappointed and quite frankly offended that you consider the financial support that I have provided this game to be of so little value in terms of loyalty to the game.
You need to seriously revise the value you place on aurum purchased and aurum spent by a player, and I expect to see that loyalty ranking of mine increase exponentially the next time I log into this game.

I couldn't tell you what my rank is right now, and I don't really care. I here about other spending $1000s in AURUM over the years, and still have a low rank, because their WP and time on game is that of a noob still.
Or, other complaining, because they have 2 years played on the game, when they have taken months of vacations from the game, and haven't used much AURUM.
My WP is high, my time played is high, my AURUM purchases are high I think (I don't really keep track), and everything else I do is at a high level to. But, if I log on and see my loyalty rank is a precious 15, I'm not going to care.
Your $600 in AURUM seems like a healthy number. But the fact that you have a lousy 2million WP tells a whole different story. You're either new here, or you haven't actually been playing that long. |
