I haven't ran a Sentinel in... ages. Ever since the introduction of the Commando (oh how I both loved and hated the original), I had slowly drifted away from being a Sentinel. I had fun as a Sentinel once upon a time. I used to carry a Forge Gun with Nova Knives as my secondary and would drop in on people and stab them. Oh the joy from being a heavy ninja, slow but a menace. As time passed, I had to put down my knives often to carry the burden of being AV. As more time passed, I noticed less and less fellow FGers interested in AV (as they took more to the towers to kill infantry instead), and eventually becoming the lone FG user in lobby after lobby just drained me to the point where I just let the vehicle users steam roll the infantry. I stopped being a Sentinel to be a Commando, which is (to this day) my suit set of choice. The last time I was in a Sentinel suit, it was when Amarr was the only ones with it.

How is the Gallente Sentinel in the opinion of the users of it? What are the thoughts about this suit?

And no, I'm not going to go knife people again as a Sentinel. As fun as that was, Active Scanners turned it into a nightmare to accomplish (although when I did succeed, even when their buddies shot me down, I got the last laugh).

Added note: My Quafe Sentinel's armor is exactly 777 in my current setup. I feel lucky.

Caldari can do it without a Logi but he will lose too much armor on the first hit to survive a second. As a full time Amarr Sent, I can tell you that you've got a massive advantage of survivability that's second only to the Caldari. But you trade that for being a HMG beast that rivals the Amarr. Gal Sent can comfortably stack damage mods (although your basic prob only has one or two highs) while still having a nice HP buffer. I bought the Amarr Sentinel and Gallente Scout Quafe suits. Got the armor plate and dampener BPOs to go with them. Bolas deploys tank in strategic location
