It's a shame when another developer can unintentionally deliver upon all the promises that CCP made this community, all whilst developing a game that is still in alpha and not even released yet. Star Citizen will be the game that kills Legion on PC because Legion won't be able to compete with the looks of this game.
And no, you CANT have my ISK!!!

I really looking forward this one, there is another video boyo
Honestly im quite sad how indie devs are now more progresive than mainstream ones, because i think this is revolution. Not crossplay, but play everything.

If i will be on medium specs for star citizent, i will defo buy it. That game after whole that trashtallk from others seems like really great experience (with czech Kingdom Come: Deliverance or what is its game two indie AWESOMELY LOOKING titles).

BTW that walk back to Pc with Project Legion can became really big setback for CCP if Star Citizent will have everything notched before legion. Anyway i looking forward both, we will see what will be better. From my perspective possibility to play Space Simulation, FPS and Scavenge systems all of that on one platform in star citizent seems now better for me. Than have EvE and Legion and must buy Ps4 for valkyrie. But how i told i will see later how it will be with overall technique around both games.
I've already contributed to SC, and I did a couple of the Arena Commander tests. If they fix, that hit detection and smooth the animations a bit, FPS in SC is going to be nice.
My biggest concern with SC right now, is how it's going to handle LARGE-SCALE fights. Even among the PC gaming community, a lot of people's PCs would struggle with SC. SC will work 100% smooth, so long as your system can handle it. But I'm running a pair of 780 Ti, an i7, and 32 gb of mem (for VM work). I work with my rig. Not everyone's gaming PCs are pushing capacities that high. So large-scale pvp and social situations will be hard on their machines.
Imagine a Burn Jita event in Star Citizen.... a lot of systems would fry. lol
RSI has a very talented team, and they are making solid progress. They are meeting their deadlines and are on point with telling people what to expect. I do not regret buying into that game at all.
CCP is also a very talented team. They made some bad calls with the Dust Project, and figured out too late that what they envisioned, they could not do on the PS3. But they did something new by bridging a console game with a PC game. They were innovative and I don't regret the time I've spent on Dust.
RSI's Star Citizen is going to basically be a game like EVE, but with free-form integration of spaceflight, FPS, and ground mechanics. Which is a huge and daunting task. I don't think they are prepared for the challenge that awaits once people are actually in the game building the economy and pvping. CCP already HAS that player-economy experience.
CCP's Legion is a far smaller challenge to pull off. They've already gotten past the hard part (making EVE stable).

You realize people have started talking about wanting to be able to play the infantry aspects but not being interested in flying ships? You know, just wanting to work together with a pilot to board **** as infantry or run around on planets?
CCP blew it harder than I've ever seen anyone blow anything. The biggest opportunity in the world and they just punted on it and now Cloud Imperium is going to try and deliver on it. I wouldn't even be surprised if they succeeded, thereby sentencing EVE: Legion to an early death.
A few months later CCP uses the word "restructuring" and fires ever employee at CCP Shanghai before closing it down, just like what happened to White Wolf and World of Darkness.

That is just fking lovely. Holt shlt....
Like seriously, anyone in the game development industry that has "[X] developer for Star Citizen" under their belt is pretty much guaranteed work, if SC turns out to be a huge success.

Cryengine 3 has some problems surpassing the 64 player limit without taking a hit in performance, I do not know if this something that carried over to Cryengine 4 but I imagine it was not built for large scale fights that are planned for Legion off of the UE3 engine.
This is all without mentioning that Dust has had alot of time to build up content and balance it. The SC FPS node is still in alpha, I imagine the developers will have a hard time trying to balance the game and how these nodes tie in together.
CCP is trying to keep up with them by planning to have one character exist across all three games but it's not exactly the same thread that will blend with everything like in SC...
All in all...SC is going for some kind Arma type game for the FPS node, which is great...but Arma is not everyone's cup of tea and Arma worked because it was set in a modern open battlefield not in space.

Cryengine 3 have this kind of issue on hi-graphics polygoned maps only. Max for no lag is 32 players, more players is possible with lag. Ergo we have same story with lagy maps here in dust under Unreal engine aswell
