Yes ladies and gentlemen, the Bomber Dropship.
Specifications:
Main gun, 2 side guns: 3 gunners and a pilot (note: the main gun is not usable by the pilot)
Bomb Bay doors: Operated by Pilot (note: to drop bombs you must be within 150 Meters of target)
Ammo Capacity for bombs 6 (not upgradable)
2 high slots, 3 low slots
Speed: 80 Meters per second
(also note that Main gunner is not protected)
cost of ship itself: 400,000 ISK
Scout shoots Sentinel like a BOSS.........with a Bolt Pistol

Aside from being way too bare bones, why is it faster than not only the normal Dropship but also the Assault? It should be slower, especially when it is tougher than each.

Of course it was discussed long ago but these are some base line stats which are actually, pretty balanced. Bombs could be changed as the ones you have described seem for AV since they have less blast radius than a M1 Locus. |

I'd prefer bombers to do HUGE splash damage (like 20 meters) but low damage. Like a wide area single mass driver shot. A good amount of suppression and assist damage for the ground troops. |

IMO the way matches work in this game, a BDS would be OP in any type of match that's not Skirmish.
I didn't read your wall of text but I agree that it would have to be CRAWLING slow.
I like to compare this game to Star Wars Battlefront in a lot of ways, and there's a reason the bomber ships were not usable on the battlefield (and why they removed aerial vehicles altogether except for space battles in the sequel).
