This all the way.
If newbs can level up quick enough to not have to no life it so hard to even come close, then I'm all for that. More will actually stick with the game.
Anyway, the fact you can Max skills means that the whole 'nigh untouchable vet' level is a figment of imagination and its never been easier to own with a starter fit.

So you'd rather that less people bother with the game and would prefer an unreasonable grind?.
Shut the door on your way out.

TL;DR you forum warriors don't have a good reputation outside of the forums. Stop calling yourselves "the community" and realize the vast majority of the actual Dust community doesn't even log onto this forum.
You keep generalising and projecting your own opinion as fact though, not looking good.
We are fanboys because we want the game to be more accessible for newbs which will give the game longevity, OK then.
And if we are idiots, then what does that make you for being part of the forum community?.
Trust me when i say that the only person I see bring an idiot here, is you.

DarthPlagueis TheWise wrote:Again, twice the current cap would put the new players in a really good place SP wise.
Quadruple the normal cap completely undermines the hard work ANYONE has done before 1.9 not just the vets.
I want to see the NPE improve as much as anybody. However this is overkill.
Projecting your own silly emotional trash opinion as fact again and contradicting yourself, not that you'd see it.

Just mourning the end of an era in this game.
don't bother replying to me because i'm unsubscribing from the thread
No one is raging except you hahahaha.
Goodbye.
Wants the npe to get better, thinks the needed sp grind reduction will ruin our long time playing advantage.
Says we are raging, then rage quits thread.
Spouts own opinion and assumptions as facts, calls the forum community idiots.

In DUST you cannot buy anything with aur that you couls not with ISK. You ca get to 40 mil just like booster buyers. It only takes longer. Speed advantages are not pay to win. Technically officer weapons wouldn't be because you can get thwm via play but that is REALLY pushing the envelope.
The fact that CCP makes the best weaponry non real money purchase speaks against P2W. Yeah we all get that but how can you not see buying three boosters and stacking them to get ahead as not pay to win? People who do that are going to get massively ahead over non money spenders. It'll be nice for the new players but as a vet is stings a little to know I worked for so long and so hard to get where I'm at and now others will be able to reach where I'm at in a fraction of the time I invested.
Why exactly does that sting though?.
New players will be able to get up to our level much quicker. This also means that we won't have as much of an advantage over most of the players and therefore, the quit dust rate of new players won't be so low. This also means that pubs should get better so we won't have to no life it with cheese ball tactics in PC for some decent level of play.
How is that a bad thing?.

Just the grind that I went through to get my skills. I didn't like any of the triple SP events that much either but I'm all for whatever brings new players in so don't get me wrong I like the SP changes as I hope more players stick around. I will admit that it does devalue a little bit of our grind and effort in the past but you are right in thinking more new players may stick around. I get the same feeling. If this expands the life span of the game, I am all for it. If it creates more diverse and unique battles. I am all for that too. I can see the positive effect these changes may bring. Feeling the devalue of my work and looking at what these changes could mean to the player base, I am willing to bite my ego and let it go if this ends up being good for everyone else.
Wonderfully put master, superb.

You really think the play and tactics will change just because there are more people? All it will do is add more people to the FOTM and scrub tactics that's already heavily implemented in this game through stomps and playstyle multiplying.
From what I'm seeing, a lot of those fotm scrubs are set to quit because their massive sp advantage and the utility it brings is now gone........

Michael Arck wrote:Lets be honest. HTFU doesn't work here on Dust anymore. It worked in the beginning but it has moved on beyond that. The landscape of Dust has changed. Just my opinion, but the true brutality of Dust would have forced many gamers from it, reason why EVE is such a niche game catering to only certain people.
In the console world, letters and class action lawsuits would change HTFU into "I love you very much, with hugs".
Not that is a diss or anything. It's just that I think HTFU has no place here anymore.
Well clearly yeah lol.
I used to think the same but after fan fest, to think dust warrants such a long grind is completely obnoxious.

Can't play until after Xmas though.
