After reading the dev blog I was happy to see that some of the features we all waited for 2 years are coming with Uprising 1.9 and that very soon. I even strted counting the hours until it goes online
Then I scrolled down and found the following lines:
'DUST Marketplace
* Added two new categories to DUST Marketplace:
- Visual Customization.
- Services.'
Now I am confused because of the mentioned visual customization. Does that mean we are able to choose the colors of our dropsuit or weapons?
I even do not know if I skipped something while reading the dev blog because of excitement.
I hope it is a surprise from CCP to the community.
One of the most requested features hopefully comes with the update.
So I hope it is not a mistake and thank you CCP for the Update. You just made a big step forward

It's probably just there in case we do get visual customization. It's likely that nothing will actually be in it when 1.9 releases. |

I think they were saying they are changing visuals. Actual customizable suits and vehicles will never be a thing

Perhaps they have a way to add them in later hotfixes, but still have to add stuff such as market tabs and the framework as a client side update.
If that's the case then the best time to push it out is with 1.9, then be able to work on the feature to release in hotfixes at their own "leisure" (That said, I don't think CCP Rattati and Frame sleep. They just work more.) |

 Well,... I don't believe it is anything as eleaborate as that. We are probably interpretting "visual customization" to mean our ITEMS, when it may just mean visual customization of the MENU SCREEN (as in "show more detail", "hide skillbook categories", etc).
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...

On the eve test server there is a visual customization section which I pointed out in another thread... It now appears to have items in it wheres before it had no items...
I am guessing you will be able to introduce pre-defined colour schemes to existing suits by the way its done. A bit like buying a paint job in Elite beta - lets hope they are as cheap i may even buy a few then.
Anyone getting annoyed by reading of the above post should consider the following.
I don't care so neither should you :)

It's probably just there so they can put the sudden increase in BPOs somewhere without it cluttering up the ISK market.........
