Every game I play be it tank or dropship i am always encountering jihadists. Every. Game. I'm really confused, dropships are so incredibly easy to down now and tanks can be easily destroyed with two people. So why are there even more jihadists? Is av still to hard?

I take it as a complement. They can't even kill me with easy mode av so they have to jihad. Speaks volumes to their skill and my own.

I chuck 5 boundless RE's on my saga with a scanner and a fuel injector. I destroyed 2 gunnlogi's one game with ion cannons LOL

Av isn't really that op with a well fit tank in a squad I was in earlier the tank we were assaulting survived 2 swarmers and my REs. If your running a mil tank you might be kind of easy to kill but at least when I am running mine even when I get killed it is because I didn't take cover soon enough.

Av isn't really that op with a well fit tank in a squad I was in earlier the tank we were assaulting survived 2 swarmers and my REs. If your running a mil tank you might be kind of easy to kill but at least when I am running mine even when I get killed it is because I didn't take cover soon enough.

Not saying its op, I'm just saying its really easy, especially against dropships. If you have a forge and a swarm tanks are cake, I had an IAFG almost solo my hardened 5300 shield gunni yesterday, only reason he didn't was because he missed the kill shot.

Haven't actually been seeing too much of this myself. Maybe see three or four Jihaad jeepers in the past month or so, and only one or two people have actually tried to ram my dropship, though I don't fly an ADS, so that might be part of it...
Perhaps they're not specced into the usual AV? Or they find the exploding LAV's from hell more entertaining. Plus they're more likely to kill the target.

Even with AV where it is now, jihading is still pretty much a guaranteed tank kill, providing you're not stupid, and the tanker doesn't notice you. Some tankers despise it, but I think it's a valid tactic. (Mainly because it's extremely useful when the reds have 5 tanks and the blues have one... and it's militia.)
Another thing people don't realize is that ADS ramming is still extremely effective. I rarely see it, even since CCP "fixed" ramming. With the grimsnes, you can even survive as the rammer if you turn your hardener on. It's extremely effective against Pythons, especially.
Why use AV when you can just plow into them? Even with swarms, an easy mode weapon that require no skill with aiming, you have to know when and where to engage. (Yet some people think you should just pull out your swarms like a fly swatter, give it a few smacks, and continue with the infantry game.)
So yeah, both AV and ramming/jihading take some skill, it's just that ramming/jihading is a 1HKO.

i would give all of my isk to see the look on the face of the guys who've undoubtedly sent you petitions demanding random people get banned for abusing RE LAVS when you plow into the back of their tank and they see a ccp character in the kill screen |

Couple tips I learned through trial and error:
- A fuel injector really, really helps with building up enough speed to set off the REs, especially when the tank is in a cluttered area filled with obstacles
- 3x standard REs and 3x advanced REs are usually sufficient to kill a tank and not too costly for those situations when you can't spend a couple minutes in front of a supply depot resupplying them. Throw them both on a cheap scout/logi fit and you're set
- Play like a really fast scout on wheels and use the 3rd person view to your advantage cause a stray shot to the REs will set them off and kill you
- If you see hardeners (ESPECIALLY shield hardeners) hit the brakes and try to get away. Come back when they shut down.
- When possible, stalk a tank and wait for it to get distracted shooting at something else before you begin your glorious charge into a fireball of doom

its the butthurt vs effectivness.. jihading an ADS is a massive FU since ads with high sp and skilled pilot can still be an OP dominant force, as can proto fit high sp tanks and since av sucks vs protobear vehicles jihading works the best for TTK

Lol, you just have to make a logi with 3 different typee of remote (std,adv,proto) and you just have to place them on a saga that has speed boosters on and you can easily destroy all kind of tanks.
You can also change suits after you place the explosives so you dont pay the isk for the suit.
i killed GP MACHINE tank 1 match.
he was camping Alpha with his ion canon tank so i was like : this guy is not gonna play like that with me.
i kept blowing up his tank over and over untill he ragequit lol.
its really funny how easy it is to jihad. I agree it might need to get fixed though.
i agree its a scrub move but dont tell me camping an objective with a proto tank while losing isnt what a noob would do.
i just hate campers like that.

Who let you in here? Look I have maxed python skills and supplementary skills, I have a fully complex fit triple xt python and if a single swarm launcher even at std or adv level starts hitting me I have to leave or loose my ship. If its two swarm launchers I'm dead. They always get the first move as I can never see them. Its really very easy, and requires little in the way of coordination. I find it sad people would rather exploit rather than play the game, especially after all the convincing av guys did to get av to where it is now. You'd think they would use it

Europe is full of jLav, never seen a french or a deutsche do it ...italian, spanish and russian love this ****. Personally i have never make a Jlav, AV need simply to git gud
