I'm going to have to disagree with you Aztec. No TPS.
I've never played a game that has both 1st and 3rd person where the third person players don't have an inherent advantage. It throws a wrench into balance.
GÇó3rd person allows the player to look over/around cover without exposing themselves. GÇó3rd person allows the player to see behind them and in front of them at the same time. A very strong awareness advantage. GÇó3rd person allows better "aiming down sights". Removing the actual ironsights from the screen allows for better target acquisition and tracking.

Ironic given that people use to complain back when Dust had no iron sights. Regardless, you fail to remember that people in first person tend to have an inherent ability to track targets better when in ADS because both sides of the screen are widely open, while 3rd person inherently has less zoom and obscures part of your view because of the body of your character model. 3rd and 1st person could be balanced, but people are simply looking at small problems instead of seeing solutions. I've played plenty of games that allow both. I'm telling you, there is no sensible way to balance them, because these advantage are incomparable. In every single game, the competitive gameplay is dominated by TPSers, to the point that people would make FPS locked lobnies so they dont have to deal with TPS shenanigans. You cannot balance around it in any way that makes any sense.
I don't meant to sound like a ****, but if you want to play a TPS, go somewhere else.

You can't overcome an obstacle if you never try.
Why create an obstacle in the first place, where there isn't one? The game doesn't need their like you say it does. You just want it.
