That's how my own proto commando's run. Not because I don't love laser rifles (If the numbers are checked IIRC I came in third on officer laser and during the event there was a proto commando who kept on killing me in laser duels), but because there's a lot of overlap between laser + scrambler and commandos are really the 'takes all comers' suit.

Scrambler is there for anti-infantry, swarm is there for AV.

In a 1v1 fight a vehicle that's aware and considering their options should have a chance to escape unless they were surprised or got themselves into a bad position. That's fair and balanced.
