Anyway. I'm sure we've all noticed that when you take a month off of dust you come back and are pretty much a total ret4rd for a few battles. This time is different though.
I went 1/9 last night on the winning team, and it wasn't like a meat grinder game where both team almost clone each other out and I got 3000 WP Logi-Ing the crap out of everyone but just happened to get caught in the crossfire several times, I got maybe 700 WP at best and was a total liability in every way. That hasn't happened since, like, early 2013 or something,
Conclusion: I've totaly lost all situational awareness from playing too much PvE. Any scrub with a scout suit just waltzes right up and blindsides me. Every time, it's almost like i forgot they existed or something.
Anyone have a similar experience?
1st game I went negative. 2nd game 1.0 kdr. 3-5th game 1.5-2.0 kdr games onward 2.0 kdr +
Yea I know the feeling. I became terrible as well. Usually I would get 1st every pub match but now it is all random. It is like I forgot how to aim. My reflexes are very sluggish and I am catching myself making alot of mistakes. I would actually need to no-life this game for quite a bit to fine tune myself to where I was before.

Playing the Destiny beta didn't degrade my DUST capabilities. I was still able to down an mk.0 at close range one day when the beta required maintenance. Fast forward to today, and what I've heard about Bungie has kept me in DUST (superior game).
And I'm doing rather fine.
If it wasn't obvious, I didn't buy Destiny. CCP has kept my faith.
Give the Magsex some love.

First few games of mine everyday are bad. Doesn't matter if I was playing another shooter or something like Disgaea.
lol, last game session I tried to crouch along cover and instead melee'd it. Tried to switch weapons and I threw a grenade. . . maybe I should have had the controls match?
Naw, forget that. Just gimme 2 more rounds to get back into it
The game I did terrible in? Covenant Assault suit (I'm nice and red) with a Covenant Sniper Rifle. Completely forgetting how to judge range in DUST, I stood 50m back from a heavy with an HMG. He started shooting me. He didn't move, didn't advance. He just let me shoot him in the head. . . dude, what the hell is wrong with DUST's players?

Destiny has a -massive- dependency on one-hit 'gotcha' kills and an insane over-reliance on aim assist.
The fact that people once complained about Dust's aim assist being too powerful is a wonder to me when they praise Destiny's 'smooth and fluid' aiming.

It seems almost impossible to die to the PVE in Destiny. You have to really screw up to actually get killed.
It is so easy my mother is the only person in my family that plays the game. It helps her learn to play FPS games. |

Anyone who complained about Dust and AA must not play many shooters. Pre uprising, and in open beta, the AA was somewhat there but it still came down to gear+skill(mostly gear). From 1.0+ though CCP destroyed whatever HD(hit detection) or AA we had before. That's sort of why uprising started off so horrible, and imo snowballed into mostly just disappointment after disappointment. |
