I realize this isn't the time to ask for this as it is not in the scope of 1.9 at all, but I can't hold it in anymore.
What I am dying to see in Dust514:
Minmatar Dropship
- Higher Acceleration and Top Speed than the other dropships
- Dual tank Slot Layout/PG/CPU
- Less Effective HP compared to other dropships
I am desperately waiting for my flying rusted wheel chair with uzzis attached to the fins.
Please don't forget the fins.

edit: don't waste your time with the amarr :3. Lower acceleration, higher effective HP, gold and bling and lasers etc etc, boring stuff. |

With 1.9 rolling out and the prospect of future content opening wide, I want to bump this because it just went from being a pipe dream to an actual feature request.
Please take the Rifter from Eve and slice it down the middle to make the minmatar dropship ! |

That's over-complicating things. Just take a large turret and put jets on it. We don't need a chair.

While we are on this:
Minmatar dropship bonus: 5% to 60mm cannon ROF and ammo capacity.
The light cannon is a small rapid fire turret that fires accelerated dumb fire missile rounds with a 15/-15 armour/shield effectiveness. These are modest at destroying vehicles due to their armour piercing nature which is a direct counter to ammarrian technology.
Rof: 250.(??) Damage: 200, 225, 250 splash: 2.5m
Amarr dropship bonus: 5% bonus to pulse laser splash range.
The pulse laser is a heavy bombardment turret that uses superheated lasers to emit a volatile burst of energy that implodes on contact with a surface, dealing high splash and direct damage but resulting in immediate overheat of the weapon making this a hard turret to use for damage other than alpha strikes.
rof: 50 charge time: 1.2 seconds damage: 1000, 1150, 1250. Splash damage: 700,800,950. Seize duration: 4.5 seconds.

How about the ads gets 4 front blaster turrets, cuts infantry to pieces, but each one has a 50% chance of falling off when heat buildup gets above 10%. |

I would rather have 'Artillery Cannons' as the Minmatar dropship weapon (as in EVE). Basically like old school cannons but bigger. |

I was kind of thinking an artillery type thing as well, I imagine it would probably have some drop on it, which would make it interesting.

C'mon man we Amarr are people too, hell we owned the Minmatar for a while and took care of you.

Btw you original craft was supposed to look like a VTOL Chopper of sorts designed for strafing runs.

I have to at least PRETEND to dislike the Amarr !!
But yes, you are right, and thanks to Finn's post i do see that it was a very asymmetrical VTOL style design. Very original, I would be happy with it as originally designed. |
