I'd rather have an accurate damage direction indicator to be honest.

Even nicer still would be to have both, but a proper indication of direction of incoming damage would be the priority.

An altitude gauge would be nice just as an immersion factor thing. That sort of UI should be available when you're in a flying vehicle.

 I would like:

 Altitude
 Vector
 Speed

to all be available at all times in a dropship. It would make flying a lot more immersive and actually be useful in certain situations (like you're not holding down R1 as hard as you could be. I know some people complained about this before).

Make the gauges optional, I'd rather not have more clutter on the screen that isn't needed... The accurate hit indicator would be nice though.

Artificial horizon was requested long ago.
Never seen any answer on it though.

I guess the previous dust design philosophy was to keep all dust gameplay views with minimal hud.
Reason? Another guess, to make game easy to approach for the masses

People would enjoy Dust a lot more if they accepted the fact that EVERYTHING is subject to change |

Vectors give you velocity, which is speed and direction.

Unless you're talking about direction, which can just be represented as unit vectors multiplied by the magnitude of your velocity (speed).

EDIT: Sorry, Im in a snarky mood

No, you're absolutely right, my mistake. I did mean direction, but intended for speed and direction to be represented on a single gauge, IE vector.

You can use the first person view to gauge vector.(certainly not the cross hairs). The top half circle and the bottom half circle, a long as you can fit your path in betwen the two you're good. I use it for flying underneath and between obstacles, such as under bridges, and buzzing the supply depot inside the city on the rings map. Its good practice.
