Dust is now a solid game and I think the two reasons it never reached a large playerbase were;
it was released too early, therefore was buggy and got bad reviews.
With the concept of Dust you promised the world and delivered Luxemburg
Re-release it on the PS4 market it as a lobby shooter, but as a great lobby shooter, where you can customise your fit out completely and where death brings consequences.
The biggest issues currently affecting dust are infrastructure based, it can't handle the research facility, poor distance rendering, a larger player count, lag.
Dust also has a large barrier to entry with the existing playerbase SP, so I would cap the useable amount (increasing each week) so people aren't being proto stomped from day one. Existing players would still have a massive advantage in that they know the maps and the tactics (although you should definitely fix spawn pad glitching) |

Or...Or...we wait until Legion gets put on the Ps4. I heard Legion was cool.
You know you have at least thought about cow tipping. They know, and they're out to settle the score.

They would delete their EVE accounts and CCP would be ruined .
Just the thought of this alone will lead to some verbal bashing from that collective pointed at anyone who would suggest such .
CCP would never do that to those who actually run the direction of Dust .
Don't you realize that console gamers are just not a focal point for this company ?
Shame though , it seems to be going well for Bungie , Sony , Microsoft , EA , 2K and many other companies but what do they know ?
CCP is the bee's knee's .
Delta should come with a SP or infantry SP refund so that a campaign for one is not needed .

Yea there are still some huge balance issues that need worked out and after they they do that they can launch a huge marketing Campaign for legion on ps4. That will blow up dust because everyone will want to see what the buzz is about and everyone will want to get their hands on some dust only bpos for their legion account once they get a taste lol.

We talked about this already. Just wait until Project Legion can handle itself on the PC first. If it turns out to be a success for PC, then CCP might consider a PS4 port.
On Twitter: @HilmarVeigar #greenlightlegion #dust514 players are waiting.

I'm not waiting that much longer for a game that we were expecting to have a year ago. Especially if its not even on the system it was advertised to be on.
Even if there is a PS4 release, it will take at least 2-3 years to get here. By then, there will be better games. CCP will be a day late and a dollar short by then methinks. Honestly, the only way I'll be playing trying Legion is if it releases on PS4, within a year. So, no. |

Actually yes i'll take much more time. Ps3 have more different structure than personal computers, than Ps4 About ps4 it will DEFO better if they port Legion.

I don't think porting it to the PS4 from PS3 is all that easy.
The easiest would probably be a PS Now work around, but I think that would end up being unplayable.

I don't believe Legion will ever see the light of day because I don't believe CCP has the resources or capital to make it happen.
This has already been proven out by past projects.
DUST will never be on PS4.
I believe CCP will be bought by a larger software company within a year because of said lack of capital and resources to bring these products to fruition (Valkyrie, Legion).
Eve will be maintained by the new company while it makes money but everything else will be shut down and resources absorbed and reallocated.
I posted a thread stating this months ago on the Legion forum and was basically laughed at by the fan boys. I have seen nothing since then to change my mind.
This scenario is not what I am hoping for but makes the most business sense.

So I've just imagined the recent trend to re-release old games onto the next gen? |

I get ya Bro , just had to point that out .
I couldn't believe some of the things that were written about console players and the who movement to PC , also some of the feelings of those who had protested the creation of Dust on the console .
Some of what was written made me sick to my stomach .
Hey , I'll slice the lemons and you can squeeze but we have to tape open their eyes .

I think you might be on to something Bub , just hope their not selling to EA .
Nice observation Eruditus .

Dust514 is not a solid game. It is buggy, laggy and has numerous map/texture issues. It is being reworked into Legion with no promises it will ever get released anywhere, even less on the PS4.
The PS4 will require enormous resources as many in the industry have attested to. Both of the new consoles are limited in their power (CPU/GPU) although they have reasonable memory systems and amounts. Porting a successful PC game onto a next generation console means limiting the game's use of resources. A difficult task for a developer group that has limited experience.
CCP has clearly stated that Legion is a PC project and that they are sticking to the platform they know well. Again, the PC.
Don't get your hopes up, that is always the best plan when it comes to CCP.
In New Eden no SP is wisely spent.
