To all the people wishing scouts to be nerfed into being even worse than pre-1.8, be careful. Most of us are only scouts because we have maxed core skills (the only way to be viable as a scout), and we could very easily transfer over to assaults or heavies, giving us even greater killing power, and then it will be "Nerf Assault 2k14"
Again, be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it.
I already am saving up SP for my proto Min Assault, and even at basic, the extra HP and slots as well as the bonus to the mini long range shotgun (Combat Rifle) and aSMG make it a very good suit.
TL;DR--No matter how much you nerf people who play as scouts, we will use our dirty, underhanded tactics to beat you no matter what suit we use.

This is a blatant lie.
The highest scout concentration is in skirmish for pubs, and even then, they are almost always outweighed by HMG heavies and medium frames/Assaults.
The reasons scouts are in such high concentration (4-5 per match on skirmish and/or PC) is-- 1. Respec allowed people to skill into them while assaults were bad and scouts were somewhat OP. 2. Following the slayer Logi nerf, people needed to have some perma scan crutch, and went with the Cal scout while it had super OP precision.

Hahahahaha. No. If you honestly believe your passives carry you that much then I wish you luck in the other suits. o/
You'll find your scout methods completely useless as a heavy or logi - and assaults are going to pop on my radar unless your giving up CPU/PG to remain undetected - and with an assault suit that just isn't wise. Ill show you what I would run as an assault.
1 damp, 2 KC's, 1 Reg, 3 extenders, 1 Energizer, aSMG, CR all proto, and a compact hive on top.
Dodges all non precision scout passives, and then only if they have maxed skills, or a precision enhancer, 700 HP, moves faster than a Min scout with a Kincat, has double proto weapons each with much more clip size (the weapons' only weaknesses), and has regen only beaten by the Cal scout.
Passives arent even very useful unless you have enough eHP and firepower to down your opponent in a fight. Of course, you do get the first shot, but after that its a level playing field where the strongest suit wins (Assault/Sentinel)

If CCP forces them into assault - how is that an upgrade if nothing but a nerf to scout happens? If it's true you'll be stronger in assault - then why aren't you using it to begin with? The logic doesn't make sense. Assaults already make up a good amount of PC's...whenver I form a PC squad I try to get assaults if I can find them, just because they are excellent suits for slaying, and I like having slayers at my back.
And, Im not an assault to begin with because I like being a scout, have been a minmitar scout since day one, which is still viable, but not as good a slayer as an assault.

Thats why you need a good balance.
If a team fields entirely heavies/Logis(Dark Legion), they can only control the city, and won't have the eWar or versatility that scouts and medium frames can provide for a flow of support between points. If a team fields entirely scouts (1.U.P.) they lose because of HMG heavies destroying them at all points. If a team fields entirely tanks and ADS's, they wouldn't even be able to cap a point or hold anything in the city. If a team fields entirely assaults, should they gain an advantage over those who have a healthy mix of unit types?

I think a lot of people over exaggerate how many there are. While they are by far the most common, they are also most definitely outweighed (haha) by heavies. 2. Of course. How else am I supposed to survive 1 shot from a bolt pistol or mass driver?

Dom-60% HMG heavies/rooftop RR/ScR campers. Sometimes as many as 4 scouts on one side, but in general around 3.
Skirmish-Probably the most balanced overall, with about equal parts of everything, unless, of course, the conditions that I stated for ambush were met. Mostly heavies in the city, with several scouts on the outside, and mediums dispersed equally throughout.
Im not sure we play the same game.

Scouts don't need to be nerfed, they need to be forced to make more of a decision. To EWAR or to Kill. Shouldn't be able to do both so effectively at the same time.
If a scout has no damps it should be picked up by a medium frame with a single complex precision mod. The bonuses to the suit are too strong and they could be easily brought back into place by applying the bonuses to modules instead. Believe it or not, Im skilling up Assault right now, simply because it is a better slayer.
Ill be bringing some heat to those PC's once again
Though, TBH, I will miss my SG...
