...I'm having dreams about this game.
Playing this game, on the comfort of my PC, is something I'm looking forward to.
Considering buying a pair of 980s to replace my 760s (got them on local discount).
Just imagining "Dust" with next-gen, 144fps vsynced, butter-smooth graphics (EDIT: at 1080p, and 3D maybe?), makes me salivate...
I am willing to wager 20 million isk, that we will get good news about Legion, next march at Fanfest.

Nah man! You KNOW what happens with some games when the fps gets out of control! Shlt, you can't even run skyrim on a monitor over 120Hz.
Man, I let the system run wild with Skyrim, and I had bears and giants flying around like dragons because the physics got so jacked up. lol

Well, get ready to pay up, because it's still just vapor ware until proven otherwise. Tech demos of shinier versions of what we already have and mock screen shots don't count.

Dude, they have Vsync options that completely negate any bad experience with it. I get sick whenever I go above 120FPS without Vsync. Maybe I spent too much time with consoles. |

Hoping for something about Legion at EVE Vegas which is some time soon..... Edit: It's this Friday actually
March is still along way from now so find some other game to keep you and occupied and maybe forget about Legion and CCP for some time till then if they don't have anything for Legion at EVE Vegas

Yep. Forgot about Vegas. 17-19.
I was so focused on Fanfest, because I was looking to fly over to Harpa next year.
If I don't hear (especially positive) news on Legion, then I'll drop Dust forever.
If they cancel Legion. I'm done with CCP. Forever. If they can't give me a timetable on Legion (maybe word on something playable by the end of 2015 to the middle of 2016), then I'm finished with Dust until they do.
I only play Dust as a loyal player, on grounds of good faith in CCP to deliver a great product; and they have Rattati and Logibro to thank for even that. I abandoned Dust for 10 months until those two made some solid changes.
I think everyone, especially the Capsuleers, are going to be waiting for word on Legion.
I love that sig btw. 'Gee, I wonder why they locked that thread...' lol
If CCP delivers on Legion. I will be hooked. I will support them and that game, tooth and nail. (Destiny? What's that?)

I just looked at the EVE Vegas schedule and I didn't see anything that gives any hope for any news about EVE Legion at EVE Vegas. They might surprise everyone though.
Thnx they lock threads after certain amount of time (weeks or months idk) if there is no one else posting on it. The last post was only a few weeks after CCP showed off Legion at fanfest. And I wish that thread had lasted longer and gotten so many more responses.

Yeah, seems Valkyrie will get a lot of highlights. We may get something on Legion during the Keynote though.
I'm sure it will come up.

CCP already made there decision on Legion its just not public, they would not let an entire team work for a year on a project that they are not certain they will release.

Agreed, other huge companies might cancel projects that have had a lot of work put into them but I CCP doesn't really have the time or money to waste on getting teams together to work on something for about a year and dump it.
All this silence about Legion from CCP is probably a good thing, might be cuz they're focusing the development of the game.
Or working on a presentation about why they couldn't accomplish this vision of EVE and Dust/Legion and why it will never happen.

World of Darkness. Need I remind you about that? That game was in production by CCP for nearly 8 years and didn't even get alpha tested before finally being axed.
On Twitter: @HilmarVeigar #greenlightlegion #dust514 players are waiting.

Oh damn completely forgot about that game. Hilmar needs to know what he's doing instead of trying to fund 4 games at the same time(3 now since WOD is cancelled). Especially since CCP Games is a small company.

Locking due to lack of activity is an automated process. When new Hotfixes change stuff I often have to put in tickets to get my guides unlocked so I can update them. Come to think of it, I need to check if LogiBro unlocked my Squad Lead guide yet. I need to update the number of WP needed for an Orbital.

Especially since CCP Games is a small company. I did some research on that. It appears that World of Darkness suffered from a severe lack of development focus and a great deal of scope creep. Basically they were trying all sorts of stuff they thought would be neat, but although they had about four complete working builds, then kept scrapping them to try different approaches. They really did not know what they wanted, and did not focus on achievable objectives to get a finished product out the door.
I have more hope for Legion. CCP Rouge has said some stuff that makes me think that he has a focused set of objectives for Legion launch, plus they have all the combat mechanics and numbers worked out from DUST that can be reused. So: Open Salvage districts with NPC Drones with short tempers, Instanced matches copied from DUST, Combat Systems Copied from DUST, Player to Player Market, Mail system from EVE, Corp Management from EVE, and it is ready for release. Add bells and whistles in future expansions.

True they do have almost everything that they need from Dust and they have much more all set it looks like from what they showed at fanfest.

And that's what screws things up.
It's fine to do that kind of brainstorming on your free time, with a handful of people, but when you start making announcements and burning up resources and you're still brainstorming, you're screwing yourself over.
Planning is important no matter what you do.
If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.
I'd say they got enough assets to get a Closed Beta going for Legion. Literally, for now, just port Dust to PC, and then start working on long-term changes and transformations.
EDIT: Notice how Star Citizen is being developed. In blocks, with goals set. Granted they have a bigger pool of cash to pull from, but their main intent is getting something playable deployed, working out the bugs, and then adding additional content. RSI is on point.
Set your goals high, and shoot for the moon; even if you miss you'll land amongst the stars.

Star Citizen is still in development and kind of like you said has a lot more to be complete. But they seem to communicate more with their community more about the development of their game than CCP says about Legion. All we've seen are two screen shots of what the market MIGHT look like. And that's it, only a bit of discussions here and there on this part of the forums but it's just like before last fanfest :Talk about what the game could be.
The thought of waiting longer kind of makes me think about how long we waited for Fanfest to see what CCP had for Dust 514 only to be shocked and mostly disappointed about a decision they made 7 months before fanfest.
