...I'm having dreams about this game.
Playing this game, on the comfort of my PC, is something I'm looking forward to.
Considering buying a pair of 980s to replace my 760s (got them on local discount).
Just imagining "Dust" with next-gen, 144fps vsynced, butter-smooth graphics (EDIT: at 1080p, and 3D maybe?), makes me salivate...
I am willing to wager 20 million isk, that we will get good news about Legion, next march at Fanfest.
Set your goals high, and shoot for the moon; even if you miss you'll land amongst the stars.

Boo to Vsync!
Nah man! You KNOW what happens with some games when the fps gets out of control! Shlt, you can't even run skyrim on a monitor over 120Hz.
Man, I let the system run wild with Skyrim, and I had bears and giants flying around like dragons because the physics got so jacked up. lol

da GAND wrote:Hoping for something about Legion at EVE Vegas which is some time soon..... Edit: It's this Friday actually March is still along way from now so find some other game to keep you and occupied and maybe forget about Legion and CCP for some time till then if they don't have anything for Legion at EVE Vegas
Yep. Forgot about Vegas. 17-19.
I was so focused on Fanfest, because I was looking to fly over to Harpa next year.
If I don't hear (especially positive) news on Legion, then I'll drop Dust forever.
If they cancel Legion. I'm done with CCP. Forever. If they can't give me a timetable on Legion (maybe word on something playable by the end of 2015 to the middle of 2016), then I'm finished with Dust until they do.
I only play Dust as a loyal player, on grounds of good faith in CCP to deliver a great product; and they have Rattati and Logibro to thank for even that. I abandoned Dust for 10 months until those two made some solid changes.
I think everyone, especially the Capsuleers, are going to be waiting for word on Legion.
I love that sig btw. 'Gee, I wonder why they locked that thread...' lol
If CCP delivers on Legion. I will be hooked. I will support them and that game, tooth and nail. (Destiny? What's that?)

Thnx they lock threads after certain amount of time (weeks or months idk) if there is no one else posting on it. The last post was only a few weeks after CCP showed off Legion at fanfest. And I wish that thread had lasted longer and gotten so many more responses.
Yeah, seems Valkyrie will get a lot of highlights. We may get something on Legion during the Keynote though.
I'm sure it will come up.

Fox Gaden wrote: I did some research on that. It appears that World of Darkness suffered from a severe lack of development focus and a great deal of scope creep. Basically they were trying all sorts of stuff they thought would be neat, but although they had about four complete working builds, then kept scrapping them to try different approaches. They really did not know what they wanted, and did not focus on achievable objectives to get a finished product out the door.
I have more hope for Legion. CCP Rouge has said some stuff that makes me think that he has a focused set of objectives for Legion launch, plus they have all the combat mechanics and numbers worked out from DUST that can be reused. So: Open Salvage districts with NPC Drones with short tempers, Instanced matches copied from DUST, Combat Systems Copied from DUST, Player to Player Market, Mail system from EVE, Corp Management from EVE, and it is ready for release. Add bells and whistles in future expansions.
And that's what screws things up.
It's fine to do that kind of brainstorming on your free time, with a handful of people, but when you start making announcements and burning up resources and you're still brainstorming, you're screwing yourself over.
Planning is important no matter what you do.
If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.
I'd say they got enough assets to get a Closed Beta going for Legion. Literally, for now, just port Dust to PC, and then start working on long-term changes and transformations.
EDIT: Notice how Star Citizen is being developed. In blocks, with goals set. Granted they have a bigger pool of cash to pull from, but their main intent is getting something playable deployed, working out the bugs, and then adding additional content. RSI is on point.
