This post is simple. lets take a vote and see who in PC would wish for the gal research facility map be removed from PC due to EXTREME lag issues that create an unplayable map and have not been fixed for many months since its release.
voting is simple, like if you agree with the statement above or post a comment if you disagree and wish for it to stay with your, please add why you would like to see this map stay.
-this is an alt being used for the sole purpose on the forums for collecting this pol |

The low levels of performance found in this game would be inconceivable in other games.
I just wish CCP would spend the time to optimise the maps as there are many obvious things that could be done to make them run better.

Yes, go back to the old research lab. I won't even attack a Research Lab because it's so bad. The matches are no fun on that map. |

Recall the map, remove the Dumb-ass 'skylight' that is over point C in a 3 point layout. It provides a suicide drop for those jumping down, and access to spam from their... Removing that along with auto-destroying EQ set on top of the 'chambers' above A
This might do enough to clear up the map, possibly helping the lag issues ...???? It is a good map, but with its habit of being unplayable it needs to be worked on

Its one of my favourite 'city' / socket designs, but even in pub matches the frame rate starts dropping and it just becomes not fun to play.
It might be fun to look at but when the player base cannot even play the damn level smoothly, something needs to be done. In PC it is even worse, always has been.

No you cant remove the map cause thats nyan san's main defense strategy to play on that map. And the strategy is like following:
-get to the socket -run to supply depot -put 300 nanohives down there to make the game unplayable -win the game cause its impossible to shot any 1

I really like that map, it's great for running a cheap shotgun fit, but the lag really DOES make it unplayable at times. Destroying enemy droplinks and hives (or draining friendly hives) can fix the problem, but I have to agree with the OP.
BEGONE, LAGGY HELL!
40 kills with the most basic, cheapest possible dual-wielding standard Bolt Pistol fit...

Because that said large structure breaks the game, thefore it is justified that it would be removed from circulation.
Until A) game is fixed (omg) B) an ambush mode with less players and redline around the structure is created
People would enjoy Dust a lot more if they accepted the fact that EVERYTHING is subject to change

There's only 13 out of 245 districts that are Research Labs, it's easy to avoid. |

It would be a shame to lose it but we have to face reality here. That facility is not sufficiently optimized in terms of memory usage.

here is something how about removing the extra affects like the lighting and swirling fire on the towers oh a big thing REMOVE THE SUPPLY ROOM and make it into a hall way or put the supply dep outside in the open within the lab. oh BTW WHY THE HECK on the one map can not think of it name but it has the huge cliff and tower looking across the street from the dom objective and supply dep. is there no supply at the caldari mcc spawn? there is one on the gal side |

Maybe keep it for domination if you either add a ladder to the back part of the ledge, or remove the ability to get up on the ledge. That map is super fun as a king of the kill map...but not as a "who can place an uplink higher on the tower" map.

I think the only use for that map is Skirmish .... Domination is 'camp the tower' the only counter being to Protostomp those jumping down Ambush is lame.... the map is huge.. it can take to long to find reds OR you all spawn in a bunker and clones deplete until the end of the round either way it doesn't work as it is...
In a Skirmish set-up I like it, and feel it could be a good PC map
Domination - move objective or remove map from Dom cycle Ambush - Increase the size of redline (cut mapsize in half)

I browsed the map ideas section for the first time in quite a while after seeing this ^^ Some good ideas posted there but 0 CCP interaction so its not encouraging mercs to post
