The Ion Pistol... saved my life... from a full HP Proto Cal Assault assaulting my position when I was reloading my duvolle...
Ion Pistol...
I just stood there, in awe, dumbstruck by the sight I've just seen.
Meleeing the proto Caldari assault's corpse while letting it sink in.
I am currently having internal turmoil as I start to realize that the Ion Pistol, for the first time, saved my life in DUST, instead of taking it due to accidental random overheat.
I'm scared.

Edit: If I was any good I would try for the SMG. If I felt like Trolling I might call it the GÇ£Fox IV SMGGÇ¥.

If you like the Ion Pistol, you must love the "new" Gallente Burst. I can finally go toe to toe against heavies in my assault, which hasn't happened in like ever. Yes, not a lot of range, but staying on that 50 m boundary and keeping the distance is a constant adrenaline rush.

I need to practice more with it I suck with the burst even though it is great for getting consistent burst. I just can't seem to lead my targets well with it, but once those shots land oh boy.

but ever since creodron released their ion pistol I've been using it from day 1. I loved it, but the changes have made it even more lovable.
