It's a low risk option and pays for the resources required?
I've been meaning to post something like this for awhile and now that there is a sign of life I might as well. I have been playing Eve for years and have multiple accounts. I buy PLEX. I bought the collector's edition and I bought a PS3 just for Dust. If it was coming out on PS4 I'd buy one of those too. Right now, I'd spend $100 on aurum if I knew the game wasn't going to get shut down in the next year and basically I'm asking for CCP to give me a reason to spend that money.
Dust has come a long way and I only wish it had launched in the state it is currently finally in. As I'm sure everyone has discovered by now it is actually one of the best PvP shooters out there and smokes new titles like Destiny. The main problem is that the hype train has passed. There is still a great product here, please don't give up on it.
Maybe Legion needs to happen and it can integrate with Eve better, have better graphics, be all about null and sov etc but imo Dust is salvageable. Maybe older PS3s need to gradually get left behind, maybe dust can come out on PS4 also like Destiny, maybe it'll end up being almost its own game confined to low sec, FW, and two directional orbital strikes but even if the Dust Bunnies never get to walk in stations with the Legionaires and pod pilots, this is still a unique ground breaking product and I'd hate to see it languish because of a rough start. Eve grew over time from a small fanatical community and I believe Dust can have the same story (but please don't launch Legion or Valkyrie before they're ready lol).
If we had to have some aurum sold goal or a community funded development plan to get us client updates and new content I'm all for it. This game is getting on track and despite all the other complainers and whatever may happen with this title, thanks for bringing us this far.
