Tried to see if I was being to harsh. Buy, nope. You have officially fukt this game up. What is the point of even having sniper rifles now? Their ranges are BARELY better than assault rifles. THE WHOLE PORPUSE OF A SNIPER RIFLE IS TO BE ABLE TO SHOOT THE ENEMY FROM LONG RANGE. You might as well take them out of the game all together now. You can do the same thing with a full charge on a scrambler rifle, no point having sniper rifles.
All you have done CCP is turn this into a future version of C.O.D. where the only viable "tactic" now is to run around like homicidal hamsters on crack. You have totally eliminated the original thinking game you had. Now this game is designed, targeted for the energy drink od'd teen. |

A sniper rfile's optimal range is 400 meters. An assault rifles optimal is like 45 meters. Also, sniper rifles got a huge damage buff. A headshot can do more than 1500 damage with a charge sniper rifle.

Rail Rifle has like a 70m range. The lowest a sniper goes is 350m, with the most being 450m.

No. But, I am used to getting kills of 450-500+ m. Longest kill I had was 613m with a Thale. Now, I have to position myself half way across map just to counter those candy added redline commando snipers. Which puts me in a position no real sniper would do. To be potentially surrounded by enemies. |

All of my usual sniper spots are still well within range, and even before the sniper change most of my sniper deaths never went above 500. |

Your logic is flawed. According to you, because CCP nerfed the snipers range = the only viable "tactic" in dust is gone.
Come out of the redline and call info to team mates, shoot, shoot, move. Countersnipe. What they did is tried to make snipers relevant. |

M O TH ER FU CKERS CAN'T READ. NO, I DIDN'T REDLINE. I set up as far as I could though. A sniper IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE MIDDLE OF COMBAT. That is the stupid videogame logic of quick-scoping. Which no real sniper does.
A snipers best assets are range and camouflage. And since CCP has no clue what camouflage is, the only thing a sniper has is range. Which CCP has now hampered. |

Prime example. Just had a match on the 3 point map playing skirmish. The OpFor had snipers on the hill under their MCC. Now, before hot"fix" Delta. All I had to do was shift to a spot behind Alpha and I could take them out. NOW, I had to make it all the way to the tower behind Charlie to even get them in range. Which puts me in a dangerous and tenuous position. That can quickly lead to me getting surrounded and overwhelmed by enemy players from Charlie. Which no real sniper would do. |

I was recon (102. recon platoon cz spec AA) and like recon you should be useful even behind enemy line (hell its basicaly recons job to gave intel from enemy field XD).
I saw some boyos who basicaly shooting our team from our place, ergo there is no reason to QQ.

Which CCP has now hampered. what good reason do you have for needing to be more than 400m from an objective? being useless before and after this patch means no one really gave two fucKs where you sniped from as long as you stop playing so we can get someone else in the battle to actual do something useful.
