Hi CCP I don't mean to sound like a hater of side arms and all but here it goes. I am a Gallente Commando, a heavy, I run with friends who are also gallente Sentinels, all of us got guned down earlier by a scout from 200m with a bolt pistol. Basic bolt pistol, against six of us. This is beyond stupid. I get that sidearms can do damage, but only small amounts thats why its a SIDEarm. It's a last resort not a Primary.
Be a number, or don't be here at all.

I'm surprised you're not complaining about the Nova Knives that can OHK most heavies.

This is 100% correct. Clearly the OP is exagerating but please note that the Dev's are monitoring this. They already reducted the BP's RoF by 12% and seem willing to change it further if it is still over-performing.

BoP has an effective range of 68m at which it will do only a fraction of its total damage. Optimal range is somewhere ~ 50m.
With damage mods and prof the BoP can do more than 300 damage to armor per shot. It has a clipsize of 4.
It has a headshot bonus of 250%.
I think the biggest cause of QQ right now is that people just don't expect this pistol to deal any damage. It has been a joke weapon since it got released and almost nobody used it.
So, learn about what this thing can do, learn about its downsides, and don't just expect to tank those shots, even as a heavy.
Also the BoP is getting a slight fire interval nerf really soon. But don't expect this nerf to make it useless again, it will still hit very hard.
