400 - 450 damage on body hit.
600+ damage headshot.
1 bullet is enough to drop scout or militia suit. "Enjoy" 200-250 damage on body hit, 500 damage headshot.
Where did you get those numbers?
40 kills with the most basic, cheapest possible dual-wielding standard Bolt Pistol fit...

I've been running the bolt pistol quite a lot on my Cal Scoult Nova knife fits (no clack). I have seldom been killed by one despite only having ~ 400 eHP.
Running it has been quite nice. Borderline insta-gibbing some armour tankers is quite enjoyable. Considering its major drawbacks (extremely low ammo amounts, mediocre at CQC) I'd hardly say it is in need of a big nerf. Some slight nerf is in order, though. (reduce fire rate? reduce damage by ~20?)
Being on the receiving end of the bolt while armour tanking is comparable to going up against laser-tech with a shield tank: unenjoyable. Welcome to the world of shield tanks, where your main tank can be wrecked almost instantaneously by its counter.
I am a minotaur.

Don't overestimate the range, though. The Rail Rifle is still far better in every aspect, than the Bolt Pistol. really? I killed a medium suit at 80 meters with a single headshot? don't think you can do that with a rail rifle |

before this hotfix it was great and balanced, just had a range dropoff damage % issue. but ccp had to change it to fit they numbers. 150damage with 6 clip and 36 ammo and no crazy 225% HEADSHOT damage. I think it was 175% to shields, |

Orphan Shadow wrote:It's pretty damn good. ADS pilots should get a free Bolt Pistol as a consolation prize for their "loss". You also quit battles 1 minute before your side loses, just to have some poor shlub have to take your place. You really suck.
Watch your back because I might be there.

JT Buddy wrote:The spreadsheet says they actually dropped the range and damage per shot just slightly, and increased the RoF by about 12%. Personally, I tthink it's the fact that we can try out all the sidearms for free now, so newish guys like me are finding the 'awesome power' of the little hidden gems, lol. Really though, I never used it before, only a little bit now, but I still prefer the magsec for now. Something about 7 shots in an automatic just seems wrong. It seems like an advanced version of magsec. Basically, if you can aim well, the bolt is what you want. If you miss a lot, stick with the magsec.
No you have misunderstood. Since the hotfix its RoF has been dialed back 12%.
Now with more evil.
