Really tired of this! Brazilians drag down the servers of every game they are in with their garbage internet, even MOBAs.
Every time I feel lag I look and it's all these Portuguese and Spanish names. It's unbearable! There is a huge qualitive difference in Internet between states, counties and even cities in USA and Canada But latin America is nearly uniformly **** **** this **** make a new server!

inb4 People claim the OP is a racist.
I should probably state this now, but asking for a server to be assigned to a specific continent due to the amount of lag being caused by players from a region is in no way racist.
---
Not trying to be one of those guys who say "ban these laggers!", but from an objective viewpoint it does make sense considering how every other continent (barring Australia) has it's own server, and since there is a large amount of players from South America, it wouldn't have negative repercussions on game-play.
Though I doubt CCP will put money into DUST for a new server.

Back on topic, I doubt the playerbase of South America would be big enough to support its own server. Remember a lot of those Spanish names are Mexican or Central American, and those guys are nearer to the US than Rio or wherever the new server would be. There will be fewer actual South Americans playing than Asians, and that server struggles for numbers as it is. |

It's sad... Because CCP Shanghai should be actively pushing their DUST 514 product on the markets that are just accepting PS3 technology as affordable technology for once.
Before in Brazil and India Playstation 3's where above 1200 dollars USD. To buya Playstation 4 in Brazil is $1800 USD.. These markets accept the Previous generation of technology and it has an entire different product life cycle because of it.
DUST 514 should be actively marketed and pushed in Brazil and India with catering to these markets. The European and Western Markets are moving on to the next generation of technology where two of some of the biggest emerging markets are just embracing this generation of technology and products.
DUST could have a product lifespan ranging into 5 years + in these markets and could even become a cult hit because of it's cost and it still being updated and hotfixed on.
ONly problem is CCP is probably the worst Game Developing company out there for marketing themselves. Even the guy who made flappy bird marketed himself better... and that is sad. |

Never experienced lag playing with the brasilian corps . Its probably because those who have the ps3 probably have / could afford decent internet connection speeds. Bear in mind that this is a country in which the Sega Genesis is still the hottest selling console.

Indeed. As a compromise, I'd say automatically kick players from matches if their ping rate is too low.
That way people who wish to play on a different server (for whatever reason) may still do so, but only if it doesn't compromise the gaming experience of others.

Forget racism, I'm all about jingoism. Give the U.S. its own server and leave the rest for South and Central America and Canada. Better yet, include them on the European server. They're all practically European in every way except geographic juxtaposition.
Even then I wouldn't mind a regional separation for the U.S.
Also, further split those servers into beer and automobile preferences. Abbey ales and Ford for the record.

As Betty said earlier, CCP should be marketing to audiences of the 3rd world, as many of them are just now getting PS3s.
Antartica doesn't have a population above 100, let alone consumers.

Mexico & Central America (for the most part) are North American, so they'd automatically be assigned to the NA server.

In other shooters there's been same sentiment against sout America Look at bf3 and bf4
Japan and Korea have very good Internet as a result of their popopulation density and other factor... Japan isn't the problem. .
But on other hand Brazil is the problem and something a shookf be done about it!
South america always need their own servers when player population can permit it and there are more than enough
Euro servers have been sparse since last year... Oceania was NEVER populated. I played Games on aus server where it felt like a dream, it was so empty If there was south America server it would be more active them those two ever were
