As of late the changes to the ADS have become absolutely ridiculous.
Killing has never been an issue for swarms, they easily do 1500 ish armour damage a volley.... if even 2 swarm launchers pair up they can take out most vehicles in the game toe to toe, unless the dropship sees them from far away or cover blocks the tank.
However let me mention some changes:
1. Swarm changed to 4 per volley - Higher alpha damage less impact time 2. Swarm lock-on speed buffed- just over 4.5 seconds to let loose over 3000 damage 3. Swarm launcher damage mods buffed 4. Swarm launcher speed buffed 5. Swarm launcher acceleration buffed 6. Swarm launcher commando bonus introduced.
7. ADS bonus reduced from 50% to 15%. A bonus that costs 2 mil + SP. Rail damage nerf Rail ROF nerf
This is completely unfair and even unwarranted. The consecutive nerfs to the effectiveness of ADS's will be unleashed in their full force in Hotfix Delta. The ADS community has united and even though we persevered where others failed, and kept trying and losing isk upon heap of isk to master the power of flight. We will not stand for this. We demand a respec of the respective incubus/python racial bonus skill as this is not what we signed up for. After so long, you completely change our sp investment.
If it was reasonable, say addition of stacking penalties to gunner bonuses, we would happily accept it. But now you are infringing on the effectiveness of each and every single pilot out there, and sadly, the way things are, we won't be around much longer. o7

We're sorry, this waaahmbulance ride was unwarranted. Base damage of the four shot proto swarm is now 75 less than the six missile vomiting monster.
2. Swarm lock-on speed buffed- just over 4.5 seconds to let loose over 3000 damage
Forge gun not only hits FASTER, but HARDER. and 3000 damage? Pull the other one. You can't do that with any weapon, though the Wyrkomi Breach Forge Gun comes close... unless you're talking about multiple shots... Does this mean my ability to output about 4,000 damage in less than 5 seconds is utterly unfair? Assault Forge: Wins.
Should I apologize?

Proficiency skills for light weapons give you +3% per level to shield OR armour armour, so +1.5% per level effectively. The skills cost over 1.5mil each to take to level 5.

I'm well aware that the forge gun requires skill to use! It's the only thing that's worth firing at an ADS!
I actually shot down a Python with a STD Plasma cannon. But let's face it, that was the Hail Mariest of Hail Mary Luck Shots. |

No respec. 10% increase in ROF per level was obscene, compared to other bonuses in the game. Simple as. Its been used and abused. I have both, a lot of SP "lost" some would say - no. A lot of SP spent on something that can equate to Weapon Proficiency as an example.
Imagine if the Rail Rifle had a 10% ROF Bonus per level in a certain skillbook. Or the Python got a 10% Damage Bonus per level for Small Missile Turrets. Both are obscene and would be abused like us pilots have the Turret ROF.
If you skilled into it for the 10% ROF... tough. You should've seen how ridiculous that is. Hell, I did but still spent I dont know how much SP on those bonuses.
Anyway, with the AB nerf it balances us against Infantry respawn times, which on average is about 30-60 seconds - the same time range we'll have to wait for AB's to cool down. Swarms are now useful rather than just letting us fly away and 10 seconds later have a fully recharged AB again. I mean, I've used an MLT Afterburner for way way too long.
And so what if we die more - hull cost reduction to 200k? Yes please. Won't take 2 excellent matches to buy another fully fitted ADS.
The only person in Dust stupid enough to Proto every single god-damn weapon. 19/19.

Yeah , they must don't understand the fact that you have to set up your volleys and not only that , if your in a high spot and you have a boarding party approaching , swarming is definitely hard to do and don't mention when you are on the ground trying to avoid scouts and enemy counter fire as well as trying to dodge HAV's or LAV's with jump out heavies .

I believe that you must not swarm often or have an investment in swarms to talk like that and if you are invested , you must not use them much .
Delta should come with a SP or infantry SP refund so that a campaign for one is not needed .

This. ADS has been really REALLY OP. You should be glad you got to enjoy a while of being so ridiculously overpowered it was not even funny, and learn to enjoy playing at a more balanced level too.
And as Rattati said, if the balance change goes too far, he's already prepared to readjust it within days. Not even waiting until the next hotfix. So cool your jets, shut off the panic alarms, and get back to shooting things. (And hurry, you're only OP for a short while longer! Enjoy while you can.)

How the hell can you judge what will HAPPEN without actually seeing the results? Please give this hot fix a chance before you berate it. Also, Cal Scouts did not get a respec despite their whole bonus being changed. You will NOT be getting one either...

THE HELL IS SO IMPORTANT ABOUT A RATE OF FIRE NERF!? If a swarm launcher or forge gunner is already aiming at you and charged/locked you are going to be hit rate of fire isn't going to fix that! They aren't lowering your hp or anything that would help them actually kill you! I am dead serious someone tell me how this is a great catastrophe for all ADS |

By that logic, AV players deserve nothing: 1.6 was utter hell for ADS pilots. 400m lock-on Swarms that did more damage than now meant ADS pilots learned to run really fast, because showing your face got it blown off by seven guys in the redline. Or the 600m redline Large Railguns.
It's swings and roundabouts: not every ADS pilot wants a broken game - most I have met agree with most of Judge's videos, essentially espousing balance. Don't tar everyone with the same label.

While I have found no use for my Python, the hits to the Incubus aren't as horrible as I first feared. Don't get me wrong, I'm gonna fly a lot less now, but I've killed a couple tanks that weren't tanked up. Just got to be careful on those shots, you get like 6 or 7 before you overheat with Railguns. And now that Pythons barely shoot faster, I expect to see fewer as an Incubus can do just as well.
That's just my experience from my 5 games.
If you find an issue and I stumble upon your thread, I will do my darnedest to get the issue known.
