1. Swarm changed to 4 per volley - Higher alpha damage less impact time
We're sorry, this waaahmbulance ride was unwarranted. Base damage of the four shot proto swarm is now 75 less than the six missile vomiting monster.
2. Swarm lock-on speed buffed- just over 4.5 seconds to let loose over 3000 damage
Forge gun not only hits FASTER, but HARDER. and 3000 damage? Pull the other one. You can't do that with any weapon, though the Wyrkomi Breach Forge Gun comes close... unless you're talking about multiple shots... Does this mean my ability to output about 4,000 damage in less than 5 seconds is utterly unfair? Assault Forge: Wins.
Should I apologize?
3. Swarm launcher damage mods buffed
Wah. Now they can somewhat keep up with forge guns for damage.
4. Swarm launcher speed buffed
a whole 10 M/S. that's really not a lot. 20% of a derpship's speed. They ain't catchin' you very fast I tell you what.
5. Swarm launcher acceleration buffed
meh?
6. Swarm launcher commando bonus introduced.
This was always a thing, and wasn't targeted at swarms. Only the Minmatar commando gets it. The one you should be worrying about is the Gallente Commando now that the PLASMA GO FASTA!
7. ADS bonus reduced from 50% to 15%. A bonus that costs 2 mil + SP.
Yeah that's about how much Sp I've dumped into my Forge Gun.

I'm well aware that the forge gun requires skill to use! It's the only thing that's worth firing at an ADS!
I actually shot down a Python with a STD Plasma cannon. But let's face it, that was the Hail Mariest of Hail Mary Luck Shots. |

I'm sorry, but I have spent over 25 million skill point into skills relevant to murdering dropships. The SP I've dumped into my commando suits is purely "for the funzies." Once I get PLC and swarms past prof 3 I'll up that number.

He was not asking for a comparison, he is telling you how it is. This is utterly onfair and ADS pilots deserve nothing but a full Dropship respec.
"Telling me how it is?" I saw a buncha broad, irrelevant comparisons, most of which no one cared about until your precious RoF overdrive decided to go away. He used anecdotal evidence to claim something that is patently untrue. It's completely fair that easy mode is GOING AWAY.
Dropship pilots deserve nothing. What was fun for you was an utterly miserable experience for the rest of us. Why the hell do you think I take such joy in making tanks, dropships and LAVs explode? Because you bastards roll around farming infantry kills then cry HTFU, QQ more, and get gud. |

By that logic, AV players deserve nothing: 1.6 was utter hell for ADS pilots. 400m lock-on Swarms that did more damage than now meant ADS pilots learned to run really fast, because showing your face got it blown off by seven guys in the redline. Or the 600m redline Large Railguns. It's swings and roundabouts: not every ADS pilot wants a broken game - most I have met agree with most of Judge's videos, essentially espousing balance. Don't tar everyone with the same label.
the ones who aren't riding the B*tchandmoanmobile are exempt from every crass thing I have to say.
The ones who test the changes and start giving constructive input are exempt from my snotty remarks.
But the QQ sky-is-falling-chicken-little-avengers get nothing from me. |

Oh, to be fair, I would have dropped the RoF bonus to 5%.
If I had known about the ADS fire rate bonus. Python missiles are about useless against my calsent so I barely notice them, and the missiles have been notoriously erratic in actual function.
The Incubus was an absolute rapemobile on my AV fits. I had to pake a point to kill them outside 100m to make sure they didn't have a chance to more or less instablap me with the blasters.
But I have a feeling that it will become rapidly evident that ADS DPS being dependent upon small turrets will cause more issues. Not so much for the blaster. The Railgun and Missile turrets may need some luvin' before they're up to snuff.
The afterburner and swarm speed changes were needed. |

I remember Uprising 1.0 and the joy of having an HMG that was out-DPSed by a SCRAMBLER PISTOL doing body shots.
I remember 1.7 when HAVs couldn't be killed without coordinated proto AV. They been nerfed pretty damn hard and now their infantry killing capacity just got neutered.
I remember the flaylock before it got hammered into near nonexistence.
Marauders were REMOVED because CCP decided that the AV balance of chromosome (which was amazing and fun for me because AV was hard) needed to be reworked from the ground up.
Swarms were nerfed into complete uselessness after their day of glory.
The gallente suit lost it's 4th low slot (hehehe like it should have)
The mass driver has been systematically gimped in every patch until Rattati got the helm of this gloriously sinking ship.
Shall I mention Enforcer HAVs? Logi vehicles?
I would call removal a pretty big goddamn nerf.

I never called for vehicle nerfs.
I thought they were hella OP in 1.7.
