Very, very complicated. There isn't simply enough room for what I want to use. I remake my fittings almost daily to strive for perfection (OCD ftw), and variate mostly with:
a - b / c / d (e)
a = MLT/BPO/STD/ADV/PRO b = ASS/LOGI/SCOUT/HEAVY c = Light Weapon (e.g. RR/AR) d = Sidearm (e.g. NK, FY, ASMG) e = Fitting Cost
x - * / y / z
x = 0, 1 , 2, 3 (BPO, MLT/STD, ADV, PRO) y = Assault/Logistics/Sentinel/Commando/Scout z = Light Weapon Abbreviation * = Special Suits Only (Sniper/Pilot/Quafe/Templar/Sever)
Hugely complicated, but it works for me. Example of one:
BPO - ASS / ScR / SP (11k) 0 - Templar / Assault / ScR

Similar, I just leave it as it appears, just put price on end. |

Ha, I just have names for mines. The parenthesis is not included in the title I just know what it is.
For example: TankHunter (Amarr Sentinel w/FG) Wesley Snipes (Cal Sniper) Farmer Fit III (standard calass for ambush training runs) T-1000 (Cloaked scout with uplinks) Sen City (Proto CalSen with boundless)
I think its cool you guys name it the way you do like in the OP. Seems a bit more professional.

I do mine like this: (a)GLoF (b)gk.0 (c)LP (d)Pilot1 (e)CR (f)UL3x RNH
I don't write the parenthesized letters.
A is Race and Type (Gallente Logistics Frame)
B is self-explanatory.
C is LP, Pub, or not present. LP means it's for PC (because I hate grinding FW), Pub is for pubbing, and if not present then it is for both.
D is various special tags based on the role that fit is for. Sprinter, Pilot, Unscannable, MixEWAR, Linker, Anti-Scout, In, Out are tags I use. If this tag is missing, it's just a general purpose slayer.
E is the primary weapon(s). I do not list sidearms because I usually use SMGs on suits with a sidearm slot.
F is equipment and quantity equipped. The example has 3 types of Uplinks and Repair Nanohives (not Triage).
If I need multiple suits at the top of my list, then I'll add numbers before A.
I think my system may be a bit complicated but it does contain all of the info I need. |

My fittings are a mess haha, but I know them by heart. Like derpy SG is my adv Min Scout with CRG-3, M209 SMG and whatever else. Bolt & Scramble is SR-25 Bolt Pistol and TT-3 Scrambler Pistol. When I used to run dual scr pistol I had a fit called, "It's Bond. Aria Bond." Now iit's just jumbled messed. I should rename everything though.

Example SM3 3CRNK xNC AmScn ScoutMinmatarProto Boundless/Ishy X3nanos Cloak
AmScn tells me i have 3extenders 2damps 1regulator and proto cloak. GScn would tell me i had 3 damps and proto cloak. RUN would be some type of kincat focused setup.
Ill also put x infront to drop certain suits to the bottom of the list. Imperial Viziam Uplink, officer gear and experimental suits get those.

I put blank spaces at the start of the name. The more I expect to use the suit, the higher on the list I want it, which is where the blank spaces come in.
Other than that, it's usually just the name of the suit and one or two distinguishing features, e.g.

I use letters and numbers to sort them, i start with std gear, proto gear is at the end of my list usually with a z before the fitting name. Generally the name is the class followed by the price of each suit. Favorite suit is always the heaviest i have to switch at the supply depot for emergency.

Don't really need to go into full detail, but I usually just organize my fittings by the ones used the most being at the top. Also, abbreviations ftw. If the sidearm is proto, then it is listed. Same scout fit with different light weapons and low-slot modules.

Observe.
For combat suits: [two-digit numerical prefix] [Suit type] [Light weapon]/[Sidearm] [cost]
Example: 01 G/1 ACR/M209 42K This tells me the fitting is an advanced suit (G/1) with an assault combat rifle (ACR) and a M209 assault submachine gun (M209). The fitting costs 42,000 ISK (42K).
For equipment/Logi suits: [two-digit numerical prefix] [Suit type] [Equipment 1]/[Equipment 2] [cost] Example: 00 G-1 R9/Rep 12K This tells me the fitting is an standard suit (G-1) with R9 uplinks (R9) and a repair tool (Rep). The fitting costs 12,000 ISK (12K). I use this fitting all the time. And my favourite weapon is the combat rifle, so the suit will typically have a standard CR/SMG.
Amost all my suits are Gallente scout. But you can use the little icon of the dropsuit helmet in the fitting list as a description of what type of suit it is (assault, scout, heavy). This saves even more space and allows an efficient description to be written on a single line (without scrolling text).
The two digit numerical prefix allows the suit to be moved up/down the fitting list based on how often it is used, or how early you want to use the suit (e.g. uplink suit is at the top, so "00" prefix).
I don't need to be completely anal and describe the modules i've equipped. If I have a basic suit it will have basic modules. Advanced suit, advanced modules. The only exception is things like a hacking suit, so I'll put a "HACK" in the title.
Don't all thank me at once. No seriously, it's fine.
The slow blade penetrates the shield.
