This game had a nice balance at one point BUT again What the hell do you guys do put the newest person who just started yesteday at the Helm.
How come you can't roll out one fix without screwing up 55 other things?
When and where is Legion?
Tank need to be fixed again cause now you might as use a tissue for Armor.
Where is the promised reintroduction of vehicles and fixes you promised.
When will you add some new map?

Yes, because me being able to consume potato chips, make a sandwich, and then play with my cat while a Swarmer is attacking me and still be able to turn around and kill him near-instantly was balanced.
On a further note, you must be one of those Madrugar Pilots or terri-bads, as my Gunnlogi fit can rep through Swarms and still have enough HP to get to cover once my mods run out.
If you are a Madrugar Pilot, then I assume that your trying to run a repair fit against a Swarm Launcher. In which case, you should adjust your fittings.

Remedial tanking protips:
- Pay attention to all nearby high ground and watch for swarms and forges. They hurt, almost as if they're designed to kill you
- Learn where cover is and how to use it to block swarms. Don't try to run from swarms by driving down an empty road.
- The bullshit 3rd person mode allows you to see over cover. Use it. Love it.
- If you're getting hit by "invisible AV" you've probably failed to follow tips 1 and 2.
- If you've pissed off the enemy so much that 4-5 players switched to their Anti-Armor starter fits just to try to kill you, congratulations. Pull back for a while while your team kills off the poor guys who cant defend themselves from slayer infantry.

That would work if we could see passed 100m.
- Learn where cover is and how to use it to block swarms. Don't try to run from swarms by driving down an empty road.
They go fully around two corners. In the case of the ADS, they follow the flight path of the ship. So no, cover won't always work.
- The bullshit 3rd person mode allows you to see over cover. Use it. Love it.
Ever tried using a turret in 3rd person? It's surprisingly difficult.
- If you're getting hit by "invisible AV" you've probably failed to follow tips 1 and 2.
If you're getting hit by the mostly invisible AV, the direction hit markers might also be lying too.
- If you've pissed off the enemy so much that 4-5 players switched to their Anti-Armor starter fits just to try to kill you, congratulations. Pull back for a while while your team kills off the poor guys who cant defend themselves from slayer infantry.
They pull out PRO AV, and the team rarely if ever realizes what's going on, and doesn't bother pushing up to take the objective. Mission failed anyway.
Yeah, that looks about right to me.

Well I don't know what to tell you. I rarely have a problem seeing (and shooting rail/missiles at) forge guns on top of the towers of line harvest and the biomass facility, not to mention swarm users anywhere in their 175m range. I heard a rumor that fitting a sniper rifle to your driving suit forces infantry to render father, tried it and didn't notice much of a change myself, maybe you'll have better luck?
- "They go fully around two corners. In the case of the ADS, they follow the flight path of the ship. So no, cover won't always work."
While I occasionally have noticed swarms bending around corners, I rarely see more than 1 or 2 of the missiles from that swarm survive terrain. They're fixing this, by the way, so in that sense swarms are getting nerfed against mobile tankers:Quote:3) To keep things balanced, we will also reduce the turn radius of a swarm missile, so it can't bend around 90 degree corners. This will allow skilled pilots to deftly avoid missiles by taking cover behind buildings and terrain. I almost get the impression from some of these threads that hardcore vehicle users heard a rumor from their friends muttering "Swarms are getting buffed AGAIN!" and started protesting without actually looking into what the changes are.
- "Ever tried using a turret in 3rd person? It's surprisingly difficult."
Certainly. I am not suggesting you use it while you shoot at people. I am suggesting you use it while you hide behind a hill or cargo container to safely observe potential threats. I use it to see incoming tanks around corners, and have it on all the time when I'm moving without shooting. It switches instantaneously with the tap of a button, you know
- "If you're getting hit by the mostly invisible AV, the direction hit markers might also be lying too."
On the rare occasions I've been hit with these "invisible swarms", I honestly wasn't even paying attention to the hitmarkers. I'll assume you're right. Still, knowledge of the map and a little awareness of where the enemy has control will give me a pretty good idea of where they're coming from. Just retreat for a bit, come back and oh look! there's a guy on a hill giving me the stink eye!

I play as both a tanker and an AVer. At this point in time, the only suggestion I'd make is that Maddys be given a small buff to HP. 500 or so would do, just for the fact that the two most common AV weapons (forge guns and swarms) do more damage to armor than shields while Gunnis get the better hardener module.

Considering how that match happened in 1.8, if you though AV was OP you might just be a scrub (well, an even bigger one in your case). I wouldn't be talking about that first match if I were you, especially considering how you had a Particle Cannon yet got driven back by a lolBlaster Turret.
What's really sad is that you couldn't kill me without syncing an OB with Taka's rail, and taka didn't even manage to kill me until after I had farmed your teammate's Blaster tank about 3 times in a row.

I turned onto the bridge. I probably ran over proxies, got hit by a forge, and was AV grenaded and swarmed by you, all in 2 seconds. There was literally nothing I could do. I remember it pretty good.
And you're STILL complaining that we used teamwork to destroy you and your tank. Isn't that you've been wanting us to do all along? Use teamwork? Now you're complaining that teamwork is OP?

It seems as if we have short term memory loss. There was only 1 Proximty down, and the Forge Gunner didn't even hit your tank (I saw him miss and hit the wall next to you).
But I'm glad to see that you remember. We wouldn't want you thinking your competent, now would we?

You also use glass, which suffers horribly during cooldown. You might want to remedy that. That is, the 2 times a year you use a tank because you probably also realize they're pretty useless.

Honestly, glassing a Gunnlogi hasn't been as appealing since the Damage Amplifier nerf. Now i just run 2 Extenders and a Hardener, or 2 Hardeners and an Extender if I'm fighting a Missile Tank.
Tanks aren't useless, just monotonous.

Tanks aren't useless, just monotonous. No they are useless, and they got that way because of people like you. Never took our advice and went hunting in packs. Never engaged at distance, always had to get in our face, then you'd get on here and write threads asking for tanks to be nerfed because you got in a blaster's face, or stood still for a railgun or missile turret, or the driver got out and put a Boundless HMG in your face.
All of us used to tell infantry how to get us. We all did, and I remember multiple replies in a row, and some of us agreeing with each other that it's a good idea.
Stuff like "wait for the rear end when you're using a forge gun, especially a breach."
"Attack when modules are off."
"Cut off our escape route."
None of you ever listened to one bit of advice. You all constantly had to do it your way, and when that didn't work, you came on here asking CCP to get the nerf train going once again on tanks because, lo and behold, you couldn't solo us.
Tankers used to spend all game paying attention to where tanks normally went, because back then a glass Soma could very easily destroy a Surya or Sagaris. But that wasn't good enough, because infantry had to do it.
Tanks are now useless in PC, because all anybody takes out is a glass Gunnlogi. The only good vehicle in PC is an ADS, and its usefulness is being nerfed because, again, infantry wants to solo them but they can't.
I really wish I could squad with Rattati for a couple hours to give him the run down from a pilot's perspective.

Sure thing "omni soldier"
Advice is to methodically shoot everything and leave nothing in your wake. Leave no installation supply depot or CRU standing, in that order. Move on to the AV. Regular troops last.
Any red vehicle is your number 1 priority. LAVs may have explosives strapped on thme. Dropships may ferry AV to high points on the map.
Fear gets you killed. Be agressive, learn when to pull out of danger. Keep an eye out for high points and never dash into a pack of red infantry without support.
To the OP, the swarm buff to speed only affects dropships and AB. The nerf to swarm turn radius means tanks are in a better places than before. Calm down.
Redline for Thee, but no Redline for Me.
