- "That would work if we could see passed 100m."
Well I don't know what to tell you. I rarely have a problem seeing (and shooting rail/missiles at) forge guns on top of the towers of line harvest and the biomass facility, not to mention swarm users anywhere in their 175m range. I heard a rumor that fitting a sniper rifle to your driving suit forces infantry to render father, tried it and didn't notice much of a change myself, maybe you'll have better luck?
- "They go fully around two corners. In the case of the ADS, they follow the flight path of the ship. So no, cover won't always work."
While I occasionally have noticed swarms bending around corners, I rarely see more than 1 or 2 of the missiles from that swarm survive terrain. They're fixing this, by the way, so in that sense swarms are getting nerfed against mobile tankers:Quote:3) To keep things balanced, we will also reduce the turn radius of a swarm missile, so it can't bend around 90 degree corners. This will allow skilled pilots to deftly avoid missiles by taking cover behind buildings and terrain. I almost get the impression from some of these threads that hardcore vehicle users heard a rumor from their friends muttering "Swarms are getting buffed AGAIN!" and started protesting without actually looking into what the changes are.
- "Ever tried using a turret in 3rd person? It's surprisingly difficult."
Certainly. I am not suggesting you use it while you shoot at people. I am suggesting you use it while you hide behind a hill or cargo container to safely observe potential threats. I use it to see incoming tanks around corners, and have it on all the time when I'm moving without shooting. It switches instantaneously with the tap of a button, you know
- "If you're getting hit by the mostly invisible AV, the direction hit markers might also be lying too."
On the rare occasions I've been hit with these "invisible swarms", I honestly wasn't even paying attention to the hitmarkers. I'll assume you're right. Still, knowledge of the map and a little awareness of where the enemy has control will give me a pretty good idea of where they're coming from. Just retreat for a bit, come back and oh look! there's a guy on a hill giving me the stink eye!
- "They pull out PRO AV, and the team rarely if ever realizes what's going on, and doesn't bother pushing up to take the objective. Mission failed anyway."
Ok, you've got me here, randoms don't tend to work together very... OH HOLD ON A SECOND I JUST CAME UP WITH A WITTY RESPONSE
why not
why not use the "teamwork" you expect and demand random AV players use to take you down
Your problem is that you are trying to reason with Spkr, not going to happen.

It is when you expect to not have to use teamwork yourself.

I really wish I could squad with Rattati for a couple hours to give him the run down from a pilot's perspective.
Well you better keep the mic off; otherwise he'll probably delete your account with how annoying you are.
