Are you happy with your numbers or could you not care less?

I'd say look at other games you've played in the past, other shooters, and compare your KD/R on those games. Is it better on Dust? Is it improving? What's your weekly KD/R? Getting your KD/R past those early "n00b" days is difficult, but doable. In other words, try not looking at it as a sign of how good you are compared to other players, but how much you're improving... unless you're a logi of course, then KD/R truly doesn't mean a thing. Nova Knives are best sidearm.

Which is why I throw out uplinks and hives before I go killing. Seriously though the stats in this game only mean what any given person thinks they mean; beyond that they're not much of a measurement cause they can all be boosted. Hell, hop in a tank with a defend order on it & 2 other guys and you'll rack up kills and a ton of WP's. Said a bit differently, I'd rather have a guy who goes 1-5 and never loses the point he's defending rather than someone that goes 15-1 and loses their defense point. Personally, I have a very pedestrian KDR of about 1.9. I could make up all kinds of excuses to justify it, but people who play with me know the truth of my skills/value on the battlefield.

Also my KDs 6.40 but my weeklys usually about 8-10 (used to do alot of PC) Aslong as it's going up you shouldn't be worrying I am LHughes. Did you like your handjob?

Some roles have innately higher KDRs, like tankers and snipers, while others have much lower. I used to run a sniper fit when I first started in open beta, and though I can't remember exactly how how it was, it was definitely over 1. About a year ago, I transitioned into more of a knifer/hacker role, and my KDR plunged incredibly low to maybe 0.6 or 0.5 even, because at the time running Minja was a death sentence and knife hit detection was horrid. Since my skills have improved, I am up to around 0.82 with weekly and monthly KDR around 1.5 to 2. I am happy with it so long as I am helping my team win. Even those matches where I get obliterated but make a difference with hacking CRUs and objectives. You can always tell a Millford Minja

However, my Weekly & Monthly K/D is 3.33, which I think is really good for someone who almost exclusively runs solo. I honestly don't think it matters that much, but to each his own I guess. Though if you're going to measure your K/D (and most of your stats), the Weekly & Monthly ones are the most accurate, as they give you a good idea of where your skill level is at this current point in time. When picking players, K/D wasn't accurate in helping me cut the cream from the crop. A lot of players were good at abusing the system for kills and escaping death. That obviously doesn't make for a fighter nor did it make for a good member. My K/D was around the same measurements of yours I believe(I died a whole lot before I got good). Despite the K/D I was often picked up for squads because I was reliable. I had your back and I was loyal, as well as a decent shot. That's what counts, reliability in a battle. You can get your super elite players who can down people insanely fast, but value their stats so much they jump ship at the sign of trouble or you could get someone who wasn't that awesome with the iron sight but stuck through the battle and worked with you to win. I mean, I remember a time where I was getting into PC with my corp and some of the ringers we had, who were in the better corps, decided to give up on fighting and just sit around the red zone.
