If we were talking about an innovative game which would focus on nice tactical warfare and had a huge scope and were kinda of "open worldy" - not really open because that would be insane but more open than map based that its now - , sure, bill me monthly and I would be happy.
Since we are talking about a derivative shooter that happens to have a backdrop of EVE, IF its well done, perhaps a one time fee like Red Orchestra 2 does - which is my standard for well made game gameplay wise.
But, realistically speaking, no, I would not pay for legion, perhaps a micro transaction or 2 from time to time is well served.
Well, they would really have to show us more stuff than the vapor ware we have now. |

Well "Open World" would be kind of hard to do with multipul planets I agree. But I think there are solutions to allow "Open enough" to work really well. Until they put out alittle more information though what is the point of discussing it.

They need to do it like Eve where each system is a shared instance. However, with Legion, each District should be a shared instance.

If legion was a game you paid for once, like many normal games, yeah I'd buy it if it was a quality product.
If it had a monthly subscription like EVE, I probably would not pay for it, because I stopped doing those types of games for the time being.
If it was like dust and relied mostly on microtransactions, I might buy some aurum, but I'd probably spend less money on it than if it was just a game you purchased.
I'd want the game to be top notch, I wouldnt expect it to have everything at launch, but I would like it to have PVP and PVE content at launch, and have viable solo and group activities.
Whatever gets this project out in the best shape possible I'm for. |

If legion is a subscription based and you could link it to eve, i.e. you pay $5 for legion and $10 for eve, i;d have no issues, otherwise it will be FTP is my guess |

I doubt I would pay for a subscription, but I would pay something first time, like you do when buying other games.
The thing is I thought CCP Rouge was going to discuss the monetisation plans?
To be honest I would love to hear anything about Legion. I assume it is still going ahead (because if it is not then there is no point in me having any optimism)

subs are not all that bad if you enjoy a game. i haven't played dust like i used too in about 6 months aside from the odd game yet still i have probably spent more on it in the previous 6 months than i have in subs to eve in the same year.
and there is always plex to fund either your wallet or game time. it works rather well in eve
