people blame the sniper but is it really the snipers fault?
no. no other FPS has a redline. there is a clearly defined map with visible borders that you cannot be safe from the enemy in, no matter where you go. there is always a way for the enemy to reach your location
i was really looking forward to finally taking my sniper skill from advanced to proto for the first time in a year, and maybe use my 15 thales. but i guess it wont be worth it anymore.
i'll tell you one thing. scouts will be the better snipers again because of dampening. caldari commando will prob have a hard time now. idk i dont use one i hope CCP isnt ruining the game for you guys |

Every team game has a suicide boundary or a wall. Battlefield has a redline that you will bob and weave out of randomly if you fly any of the fighters. |

Oh the MAG redling was hilarious too. You would have guys pressing the redline, slip up, take one step too far, and detonate.

no don't worry it will still be worth it if you are interested in sniping.. you'll now have three types of doing it to choose from.
i'm actually looking forward to it at the mo. if they do it right it will be great if not destiny this month, da3 next. |

The Mag redline was uselss, they had to move it and it was still pretty useless... So many maps you could jump up the wall and sit outside the spawn shooting everyone in the back as they ran past, lol... Then again at least you could shoot back at the snipers (the ones that weren't behind a one sided poly, lol.)
Though I did prefer that to the Dust mile of redzone... Seriously if there was no redzone it would be balanced because you wouldn't get your arse pushed back that far, unless you were going to lose anyway...
Also raised spawn points that can't be gotten to but can be shot out of, always allowed the good players to get out... Once again not including glitches where you could hide under the floor and shoot everyone through it.

Scout snipers will die to ads in 1 shot, commando's will have swarms (if they want to live.)
Also it is the snipers fault, for complaining about having to join the battle and claiming the real world distance of sniping had a purpose in the game... The maps are not real world size, therefore if we can't make the maps bigger, the range of weapons is what gets changed to create the same effect. |

MechWarrior online has a redline and automatic tracking missiles that can travel 1000m. It's still balanced.

The problem is,it takes a sniper to kill a sniper. Unless you suicide and lose a vehicle.
And Calmandos get 2 light weapons,if the second is a RR they'll be fine.
Currently Dust on Ps3 has limitations,and those limitations are currently map sizes.
On PC,when maps are MUCH bigger you can expect them to increase range. After all the SR is Cal,and Cal are range experts.
But for Ps3,it isn't viable to have it with such obscene range and such little risk.
Was banned for fighting for logistics survival on 7/25/2014 02:11. Logistics will never be respected.
