What about talking of scrub pilots instantly jumping out of tanks in slayer suits vs infantry with av weapons, if they are loosing no matter jump back in when the vehicle has started to heavily repair itself.
# bringinvehicleentryexittimers
As a proto av user I find this more scrub like as jlav are at least realistic |

I-Shayz-I wrote:You do realize that the problem with jihad jeeps is the same problem as when you explode by hitting a friendly tank going 3 mph.
If your LAV didn't explode, the RE's wouldn't explode, and you'd just bump off the side of the tank, letting the tanker shoot at your remotes, killing you.
So...solve the momentum issue with vehicles and collisions, and you solve jihad jeeps. win win You do know that if they don't blow up on impact (which they don't always do), they just jump out of their LAV and explode the remotes and the LAV and driver lives but HAV doesn't.
For the record I have nothing against JLAV but I don't use them myself.

Anyways, I see no problem with JLAVs. Not only can you see them coming, but you can simply shoot the remotes and OHK them, and if that doesn't work just keep firing a few seconds longer and destroy the LAV.
It's exactly like facing a SG/NK user, just without the cloak (making things much easier). If you have situational awareness , you can always see them coming and kill them before they reach you.
If you' don't have situational awareness, then you'll be sliced like Tuna Fish when Cat Merc goes fishing. Stop standing still and watch your back, and you'll soon find that these JLAVs are of no real significance. You may be able to see them yes, you may be able to shoot the remotes, but smart people place them on the back of the LAV and smart people use the environment / surroundings to your advantage, they don't drive straight at you, the try to block the HAV line of sight on the LAV before it is too late.
Situational awareness argument is so over used and abused. You may have to be focusing on 10 different things at the same time so you might not notice that single JLAV that is coming at you using every cover on the way he has.
Again, for the record, I have nothing against JLAVs but you cannot always avoid them.

don't remove jlav, it's so fun especially when the tanker realizes there is no getting away and just stops in the middle of the road accepting his fate

I wish my drop suit had shield hardening so I could just stand still and take punishment for 30 sec slaying all before me, then running for twenty seconds so I could do it again. I'll put it in my equipment slot

I agree completely hear. but recently there has been 1 or 2 lavs I have seen that dont make any noise. this is slowly increasing. even the infantry I run with just get road killed by said silent lavs. hearing a scout running while cloaked but not a fckn lav is quite odd. and when your scoped in witht he tanks turret. and you get these ''silent lavs'' comeing it is going to be a bad thing.
still I agree with your above statement.

Jihad Jeeps provide a new angle to murdering tanks.
I have the forge gun, and that's always fun, but what if I'm not in the mood to duel with the tanker at suicide range?
I could use the Plasma cannon. That usually stops being fun quick. Far more fun shooting scouts with it.
I could use swarms? Nah screw that. Level 1 swarm operation is where I'm content to stop there.
I could DRIVE a tank... But I only do that when I feel like getting my ass kicked in hilarious ways.
I could dropship... Screw that.
Hmmm... What can I do that makes my hated, tank driving enemies rage?
WAIT! I KNOW!!!

Right because infantry have hardeners, and can "take cover" from the main battle area to the redline in 5 seconds. Oh wait... |

Yes and because tanks can brick tank their hulls to have 5x or even more eHP, and yes because tanks are so small you can use anything as cover, and yes because tanks can get out of the battle in 5 seconds. Oh wait...
If you really think tanks are in any way OP towards infantry at this point in the game, you really, really need to get your head checked.

My crutch? I haven't used JLAVs in about 5-6 months. Though none of that paragraph actually supplies a reason as to why JLAVs need to be removed, other than "they don't deserve that", in which case they do. If you fail to see them coming, then by all rights you can deserve to die.e Maiden selena MORTIMOR wrote:When 1 av is viable 2 there is more variety to killing tanks than there is to tanks them selves ..an every variety of av is viable... Tanking is a hard enough role without giving every scrub an i win button. Av on the other hand is a cake walk. 1.) Remote Explosives are Anti-Vehicle Weapons, and JLAVs require the use of REs, making JLAVs AV weapons as well. Considering that, this method of AV is indeed, viable. 2.) This is a lie, and you know it. Current viable AV methods of killing HAVs:
- Swarm Launcher
- Forge Gun
- Assault Forge Gun
- Breach Forge Gun
- Remote Explosives
- JLAVs
Does not include ASLs, PEs, PLCs, or SSLs
Current viable V methods of killing HAVs:
- 80GJ Railguns
- 20GJ Railguns
- 80GJ Blasters
- 20GJ Blasters
- Large Missile Turrets
- Small Missile Turrets
- KDSs
Though JLAVs are a variety of AV, and to comply with your statement, should remain viable. 3.) HAVs are in no way difficult, assuming you're not a MLT Tanker. I can put 2 Reps and a Plate and make myself pretty much invincible granted that I take cover for a few seconds to let my buffer rep back. As for my Gunnlogi, 2 Extenders and a Hardener guarantees that no Swarmer is killing me as long as I don't get stuck, and FGs only kill me if I stand completely in the open once my mods die like an idiot. PE's are actually quite effective and very underrated though they could use a buff because you need a huge stack of them to have an effect.

Against scrubs, sure.
But honestly the only time I've ever been killed by them is that one time where I had some friends gunning in my HAV, and we rubber-banded straight into them.
Though I blame myself for driving a tank into the Gallente Lag Facility...
