Really? Tanks are in a bad way indeed then. All he seems to do is drive away from the enemy.
If Preparation is half of the battle and knowing is the other half, Then there is no need to fight.

Tanks are in a bad way indeed then. All he seems to do is drive away from the enemy. well considering the Missiles stupid range seeming to be longer then even railgun turret he can sit back in relative safety and pound other tanks while they try to get in range

the damage profile just dosnt seem to be working for missile turrets explosive are supposed to be -20% vs shields and iw as in the Kaalakiota tactical HAV with 3519 shield and 1500 armor and yet it took my shield out seemingly in 1 single volly.. and no there were no scouts present or even near me at the time and i saw no PLC or swarm shots either... that was untill i was blinded by the missile explosions

YES with 12 rounds per magazine, and a reload of between 9-12 seconds I should strip you of your shield in a single volley.

Greetings Apothecary, I have info and stuff:
-Missiles have a range of 250m, Railguns have 300m. Missiles also have a slight damage fall-off starting at about 160m. Railguns don't.
-Missiles have dispersion if fired quickly. You have to space your shots when firing from a distance, in which case Railguns would win due to the time it takes to empty the 12 missiles and remain accurate.
-Missiles are the hardest to fit. (More CPU than Railguns, and almost as much PG as Blasters) High fitting=high reward
-Missiles need level 5 in Large Turret Operations, while the other two need just 1. This is sort of an SP=reward system.
-They take a while to reload, in which case you're a sitting duck if your opponent isn't dead from the first clip.
-Splash damage and radius suck. You need direct hits to deal good damage. killing infantry is a skill shot.
-If you're mad about your shield stacked Gunnlogi going down, consider the possibility of damage mods. Chances are this guy had 2 Complex Damage Mods, granting a 40% boost and negating the damage profile.
-Another thing: the damage profile for all Missile turrets is not 80/120, for whatever reason it's 69/129. Correct me on the numbers if I'm wrong, but it's definitely something very off center that makes it a bane to Madrugars and pitiful on Gunnlogis. (unless damage mods, of course)
I'm nice so I'll give advice for fighting Missile tanks:
-If you use a Railgun, distance is your ally.
-If you encounter at close range, I recommend a Nitrous Injector to dodge a few missiles and survive. Then shoot while they're reloading. In my opinion, Nitrous is a priortity on any tank fit. There's never a time that it's not useful. Getting places faster, escaping AV, dodging Missile/Railgun shots, etc..
Unfortunately I have no more advice, as I am rarely on the receiving end.
But from your story, it sounds like this guy is simply a really good tanker that was using proto. So it's best not to fight him on his own turf. Either way, I hope my info and advice helped. (Sorry if any of it seemed obvious and therefore arrogant; I don't know how knowledgeable you are on this stuff so I went over all the details)

Delboy isnt great tanker. He just have isks to spam them.
Missiles sucks vs shields. Fit 2hardeners + shield and get some armor.
You should get 4k shields + 3k armor with particle cannon.
12 missiles with dmg mod all landed deals :
5k non hardened shields damage 3k hardend shield damage baerly 2k double hardened shield damage.

I guess you don't know how inaccurate they are at far range and sometimes even close range. if you spam that trigger they go EVERYWHERE. 1 or 2 damage mod proto missile tank owns all cheap fits. all these noobs with tanks nowadays think that anything that kills them needs a nerf. if you were an actual tanker you would of been prepared AND have a counter to EVERY fit you come across. everybody that runs vehicles always has a counter to their own fits. get that tiger blood and learn from this. and running that stupid tactical HAV is only for show or troll, NOT to be taken seriously.
