One of our DUST 514 features was always a paint shop, where we didn't need these bpo's, as they would just be applied to whatever suit you had, true skins. It's a difficult tech problem and hasn't even been properly engineered in EVE.
With vanity BPO's we are trying to fulfil that feature request, and due to hundreds of threads asking for them. I can be 100% transparent when I say that I personally needed some convincing myself.
If this is something a lot of players want, and it seems it is, we may have means to generate more, especially now that we have found a way to fix suit colors without a client update, "cross my fingers".

Good to hear. Perhaps if you have time, you could add more racial suits to this or perhaps future offers? |

Wrong Are they just as difficult to implement as the heavy frame colors? Has your mad scientist experiment to add them via hotfix been successful???
For the fix to be implement server side they need to manually change color properties. So probably no.

It doesn't have to be in fancy terms. Straight shooting with 100% substance is better than frilly adjectives and overcomplicated conveyances of intention and ideas.
See what I mean?
Basically, bluntly, and in no other terms, is it necessary to say no more than you did.

CCP's been working on color schematics for drop suits since october of 2013 if I remember the last time it was spoken around here.
Back then they said if they couldn't do it for EvE/PC models then they'd doubt it would be easier for console.
It was never a 'promised' feature, just one they let us muse about on how cool it would be. I think CCP understood most of us just wanted the game fixed back then, screw colors.
But now? Now that this game is dead, why not? I want my giant pink heavy suit.

hahaha.. dude, you see the problem is that it isn't entitlement for a myriad of reasons. You sound ridiculous saying such things.
I hope you never own a business. And you shouldn't. You'll just lose your money and go out of business because you put a lot of personal and deluded projections on situations that cloud any possible real evaluation of the situation.
Basically, if I were you I'd take the hint and GTFO with this cockamamy BS you are peddling. I'd explain it to you, but I alreay know it is not only a waste of time, but you are a pure born shill. Nothing more.

now now, entitlement is indeed a problem in alot of gaming communities including this one, this just doesnt happen to be one of the instances in wich it applys.

I don't know how CCP does it, but I separate my models into different categories so that at later times, I can recolor them at any time. Like creating a Coloring Book. I choose the drawing and the letters that go inside figures. Then, I just apply the color values to equal those supposed to be in figures.
It's not hard, but it is a bit time consuming at first. Also, i have an OCD about having all my code in one place, and certain values in the other. |

TL;DR: I understand what entitlement is, and he does not.
I just want to make sure he has a chance to understand that. He's a perpetual white knight to CCP, and it's ******* old weaksauce.
I enjoy knowing I can point out reality, and watch him obliviously stick to his guns.

Actually if we are talking about skins could we change the look of the minmatar assault suits. I don't like this all white thing. I do of course like the look of the republic command variants for the basic but i would appreciate a skin change to be more brown like the min commando and sentinel or even a dark greyish color. A skin switch of the basic min frames to the role frames and vice versa would be acceptable.
I just don't like the fact then when im implementing my hit and run tactics. I don't blend in with the environment even remotely so im like the first one to notice a sniper(he starts shooting at me first) and of course when i decide to disengage i feel like other players are like..

Exciting stuff. Well done to the devs for their work on this, hopefully we'll get our fancy new suits soon.

Lol yeah I also play a min assault and I prefer to use adv suits for pub.... unfortunately this means running around in literally the most visible/least tactical suit possible. Ok except for maybe hi-vis safety orange with reflective strips.. or a glowing neon sign ("HEY I'M OVER HERE FLANKING YOU, PLEASE DON'T LOOK THIS WAY")

Ghosts Chance wrote:the biggest problem right now is that AUR purchaes are funding legion. wich we no nothing about and isnt actuall a release candidate (not greenlit) all development on dust has stopped and ALOT of devs have quit or been laid off.
dusts future is a giant question mark, and theres alot of people who dont want to donate under that circumstance.
I concur. I've probably put in right around $500 into this game with AUR purchases that I've used not only for boosters, but pure consumables of suits and weapons. The fact that it was more of a donation for the continuation of this game is perfectly understandable, and actually how I viewed it. That is what I made those purchases for. I made them for the continuation of my character in this game, not the startup of a new game platform in which I would suddenly have no access to on any console or without computer upgrades for a decent performance. I purposefully donated/invested into this game, for the things the developers promised but did not deliver.
Rattai, you have my commends because you have helped at least turn around many of the balancing troubles in this game and have been at least producing some redone content in the recent hot fixes. It's far superior to the consistent lies we were all repeatedly told by earlier dev teams. However, I don't think it is enough.
We all have no clue about what is going on with Legion. There are no answers that have come forth even about its definitive existence. For all we know, Legion could be already halted or even scrapped and Dust could shut down due to lack of funding/budget cuts. I find the relatively recent immense exodus of personnel from CCP disturbing, particularly those in the upper development and financial positions.
Why am I still here yet?
