More than one uplink or even 5-10 uplinks in one area is hardly a noobish strategy.
A rush of spawns can quickly pop an uplink. A single person dumping out of a DS can pop 1-2 links before going down cutting everyone off from back up. With 4-5 links the person attempting to pop the links can easily be ambushed by a random spawn.
Yes lag can be caused by multiple links but should we really limit types of game play to make up for poor code? Glitched links are everywhere and should be addressed, again not something to be fixed by forcing players to act a certain way.
You are either butt hurt that some one is spamming links on top of yours or maybe just that logis make more money than you at the end of the match.

How about we worry about things that are actually broken.
Unbalanced weapons. Random inability to sprint or drop equipment. Getting stuck on flat terrain. Rubber banding from one side of the map to the other.
What was I thinking? CCP should certainly drop everything and come up with a mechanic that stops people from playing their part in the game so that OP does not have to expend effort on taking a roof top from the enemy. |

This issues have been here for long so it seems kinda fishy that they aren't fixed yet tbh
Probably because they are busy dealing with catering to the forum players who are actually in the game very little so they do not care to gripe about things like this.
It is funny to me that we can get hundreds of threads back and forth about whatever FOTM every one is arguing over but a thread about actual game mechanics disappears faster than a scout in front of a burst hmg.

Those that say lag is a reason to attempt to dictate game play are foolish and have some extremely backwards logic. In fact we actually tested earlier and placed over 50 pieces of equipment in the sup dep on the infamous lag city with zero drop so maybe you should wire up a little more tin foil to your 5 bit internet connection and stop lagging the rest of us down and complaining.
I have remade all my suits, I use to only drop 3 links per area to present some of the tactical advantages that I stated earlier but I will not rest until there are 15 pieces of equipment in any area that i feel like putting it.
NON-scrubs who know how flux grenades work you are welcome in advance. |

Sure this is a great idea. Now 4 out of the 16 man team can drop equipment and hide in the corner so that the rest of the team can spawn or have ammo. Your forward thinking stretches beyond measure.

And following your logic, if it's okay for a logi to switch suits to keep spamming equipment okay, then if I am under fire and near a supply depot I can just whip out my Heavy and mow everyone down.
That is exactly what everyone does anyway so this argument really does nothing for you. |

It is certainly a scrub tactic that does nothing but gains you a free kill. Personally if I am near a sup dep while taking fire I like to switch to a free suit and let them shred me. I know they get pissed that I switched suits and then say "yea scrub I still got you". Anything to boost their ego before I kill them next time only makes me laugh harder.
Spamming uplinks is hardly a scrub tactic, it presents a tactical advantage in the form of having an area more protected from being over run. I would be glad to Q up against you and you put down one link and I will put down 20 and see which team holds the area.

for you maybe If your gameplay style consists of dropping huge amounts of uplinks in one spot and then changing kits to repeat the same thing again, you need a better gameplay tactic. Yes Amarr and Caldari's Logi bonus is for deployable equipment, but that doesn't mean that you can overly abuse it by changing fits and dropping more. The equipment slots you have are enough.
Hey its cool, I think its perfect if CCP changes things to make sure a single scout can melee you out of being able to get reinforcements and hold an area.
