I want this one fixed. Well, sorta.
Can we have the AHMG utilize the "old, broken" HMG Dispersion? Nothing else. No Damage, No RoF, No Range changes. Just Dispersion.
I want to use them, but they're not as effective in their optimal range (or anywhere) as they should be. Don't get me wrong, little Scrublets, I can make good use of what we have but they under-perform their intended role. When the Dispersion was "broken" my MO-4 did what it should. Now, they just sit idle and only get used occasionally. Mostly just to give them a test run, where they fail, and a fitting is deleted.
Simple numbers fix. Once the "broken" values were found and proven, Wolfman had the fix out within a week (as I remember, but I'm a pothead) I think the old Dispersion Value was ~67.0 and now it's ~35.0 (feel free to post the actual numbers if you can locate them)
I don't always blap Infantry with a Forge Gun, but when I do, that ** is hilarious.

I agree completely. Currently the extra range is useless because of the dispersion. |

Would prefer having the assault HMG serve a unique function as a super long-range suppression and anti-vehicle assist tool.
Have it rival the Laser Rifle range, less damage, way more ammo (You're encouraged to continually spray with this thing) put back in the infuriating stagger effect (maybe even increase it so it becomes true suppression) and even throw in some of that old mass driver camera shake from early uprising.
The downside would be that you pretty much HAVE to crouch with it to hit anything, or else the dispersion becomes hilarious and you can't hit anybody. It would be basically worthless in CQC but operate like an actual heavy machine gun does at range.
Having it do something like this makes much more sense then simply having a worse version of the HMG that serves the same role as the others. |

AHMG is and has pretty much always been utter crap.
Unfortunately buffing it too much will cause your typical Assault slayer freakout about fatties having range and reach that we dealt with in chromosome |

I've been a dedicated Heavy for well over a year. That's my qualification.

If they're going to push to remove the ability to carry Light Weapons, then I want something that may be able to combat rifle users on maps that are more wide open - where we can't close in fast enough to put a HMG on target or with a AHMG that only applies ~50% of its damage at its optimal range because of lost projectiles.
Auto-fire rifles have skills that allow them to improve their dispersion, which makes them better at range. I want some of that action.

You can't buff one thing to Chrome levels without buff everything.
I wan't my MD to have 9.0 splash and damage back but I know that's just not going to happen. |
