Oh no an AV gunner can smash my tank! Not fair!
Suck it up cupcake, the forge gun I used to smash 6 tanks between you and your dumb buddy yesterday costs more than the hulls of your Somas.
Nevermind dropping your tanks when you know you are in my field of fire.
And heres why im successful at killing tanks. When they run I chase them down by any means necessary.
Have forge gun. Will steal blue LAV. |

Used to take 4-6 shots to kill marauders.
Gunnlogi/madrugar took 3-4
Sica/soma took 1 shot. 2 if you were a fitting genius.
I think returning marauders would be fun. Something worth hunting. Something expensive to make tankers scream over losing. |

ADS AV and Tank AV are two entirely different, rabid animals.
I cannot comment on the efficacy of swarms. I do not ever use them. Forge guns seem to be in a good place for AV overall (all snide commentary aside) but the only place where swarms seem to excel in dealing with an ADS is by hitting it and stripping shields allowing me to line up an easy killshot with the forge.
Swarms vs. Tanks? No honest clue. I generally don't watch swarms hit things. They are not relevant to my interests. But I do know LAVs with nitrous can outrun them, which is dumb. |

Oh yeah inb4 taunting about using the forge, range, yadda yadda.
My preferred engagement range dealing with tanks is inside 80m. It confuses the crap out of most of them and rails are about 1000 times less likely to successfully shoot me before I incinerate them.
Blaster tankers get impatient fast and tend to do stupid things trying to root you out.
There are, however, still tank drivers who are absolute turds about refusing to impale themselves on my righteous forge guns for my glory. If you are having survival issues in tanks hit them up.
And for gods sake dont call down a vehicle when you know you are in the field of view of a forge and in range.
If you call a tank in the spot where the AV gunner just killed your last tank you have just declared to us that christmas has come early and you are santa leaving warpoints under the tree just for us. |

Bottom line is trying to take on AV head on is a bad idea unless you kow exactly where they are and you know you will kill them before they can pull the trigger.
If you have neither, back off, recover and find a new attack angle
Watch for LAVs. Dedicated vehicle haters will hunt you in lavs and will CHASE you if you flee. Be ready for it. |

You'd have to undo ALL of the AV nerfs if the surya and sagaris came back. Most notably the fire delay on the forge guns and buffing the damage to swarms.
Then you have to buff heavy damage mods back to 10%.
Surya and sagaris were the most cataclysmically powerful units in beta. AV today couldn't even pray to compete. Even in teams. |
