Three matches today I experienced lag when playing them, no its not my connection cause it only happens when playing them, saluki and sometimes nyan san or chan or whatever their called. |

Edit: CCP really needs to just kick people with too high of a ping from a match instead of dragging the rest of us down to accommodate them.

Yea I noticed lots of lag when playing against those losers especially their CEO Almighty Sosa. He laggs switches and his corp.

The underlined part is what most people seem to forget. This game is a broken mess and it wouldn't surprise me if the source code gives people heart attacks each time they look at it. There very well could be over a thousand ways to exploit this game that only a handful of groups know about. Some of these groups that people complain about a lot have members in them from corps that have admitted to exploiting. Of course some said it was "testing" as they showed videos of it but those "tests" were of things that were obviously being exploited such as the "Unlimited OB's"; but what about the not so obvious exploits, how many could there be that the average player will never know about that these groups do know about?

I don't think that CCP's hit detection and lag compensation solution is "all" server side. I have a friend who tried to play via satellite, his high latency or "lag", was so bad that all he could do is scan or rep. I had him trail me while I ran a HVY and his lag made me invincible while he rep'd me- it felt like every round made contact and I took little damage.
CCP's indifference to proper quality control measures during matches is their biggest sin and has caused thousands of hardcore FPS players to have extremely negative opinions of DUST514. |

It' a common thing apparently.
Too many people are experiencing what lag accusers refer to as "The GLORY hole".
I've heard that crouching may help. Try crouching near a wall. If it continues to suck, try crouching repeatedly.
Seriously though, all the lag I've ever experienced has been random at best.

Don't forget Outer Heaven too. I ALWAYS suffer from lags when playing against them too. The game must feel so great when you always have 2 sec ahead of everybody.. not so rewarding though.

Played a few matches against them yesterday with a few guys from the Nova Knifers United channel, not very much lag. There was a spike here and there but I'm sure it was just coincidental. |
